President Trump on Thursday continued to respond to a rebuke from Chief Justice John Roberts, saying the Supreme Court justice "can say what he wants" while defending his criticism of the federal judiciary following a ruling against his administration this week.
"Justice Roberts can say what he wants, but the 9th Circuit is a complete & total disaster. It is out of control, has a horrible reputation, is overturned more than any Circuit in the Country, 79%, & is used to get an almost guaranteed result. Judges must not Legislate Security and Safety at the Border, or anywhere else. They know nothing about it and are making our Country unsafe. Our great Law Enforcement professionals MUST BE ALLOWED TO DO THEIR JOB! If not there will be only bedlam, chaos, injury and death. We want the Constitution as written!"
Trump issued the response after sending a pair of other tweets defending his response to Saudi Arabia this week over the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi and wishing a "HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!"
The president prompted a rebuke from the chief justice this week after he went after a federal judge in California who ruled against his administration's asylum policy. Trump dismissed to the U.S. district court judge who issued the ruling as "an Obama judge" while defending his administration's policy.
"We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges," Roberts responded in a rare statement released by the Supreme Court on Wednesday. “What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them."
“That independent judiciary is something we should all be thankful for," the chief justice added in the statement, which came a day before Thanksgiving.
Trump rejected the criticism on Wednesday afternoon.
"Sorry Chief Justice John Roberts, but you do indeed have 'Obama judges,' and they have a much different point of view than the people who are charged with the safety of our country," he tweeted.
U.S. District Court Judge Jon Tigar on Monday had sided with opponents of the Trump administration policy prohibiting certain immigrants from claiming asylum, granting their request for a temporary restraining order.
Trump blasted the ruling the following day while not referring to the judge by name but calling him "an Obama judge."
Tigar was appointed to the federal bench by the former president in 2012.
Trump went after the judge at the White House while railing against the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, which hears cases appealed by the district court in California.
How many have died at the hands of the 9th Circus?

Roberts is putting a Deep State sugar coating on a highly partisan judiciary that has become a tool of the left. It has become a super branch of government that dominates the other two branches which were ELECTED to make policy and run the government.
Trump is absolutely right in pointing out the obvious. Roberts is trying to defend the indefensible.

CJ Roberts is not stupid. He is a man with and end, using the means he has at hand to influence outcomes. What he did by criticizing the POTUS and defending an “independent judiciary” is calculated a nd not random. The deep state left or right knows what it wants, is “ends” oriented and will use “means” available to affect that end.
The end of this game is a no-borders state, a living constitution interpreted to mean whatever the prevailing thought of the day wants; nothing less than the death of the rule of law. The great end of this act is to declare the BOR and constitution proper able to be molded and morphed into “what is best for society” if you will, and that end does not include freedom of anything, let alone to arms. They all know that the RTKBA is the only thing insuring any other right as enumerated in the BOR and extracted from the whole of Natural Rights and Natural Law, as given to us by the Creator. Enough said.
It’s frightening to think that we have ‘judges’ administering ‘justice’ that actually DONT CARE about Life, Liberty, and Happiness. They ACTUALLY SNUFF OUT AMERICAN CITIZENS IN THE WOMB AND CALL THAT ‘JUSTICE”, then think they have the ‘Morality’ to make laws for K-12 schools where the living survivors are gathered?

John Roberts made a simple, but very large, mistake. He chose to engage in public criticism of a person who can bury him in public comments.

Another FReeper is saying that Roberts was responding to an AP question. I don’t think it was intended to be the rebuke that the Fake News is making it out to be, but Trump is making the best of it.
Indeed, Roberts snuck in with Obamacare the one nation but 2 laws system of France, one for the people and another for the state.

That was my thought - President Trump is going to need the Chief Justice’s vote one of these days no doubt. He doesn’t need to piss off John Roberts.
