In a recent interview, Michelle Obama helped illuminate an element of black American life rarely discussed in the absence of massive tragedy and more often dismissed or downplayed: the constant threat of violence based on hatred.
Speaking with Oprah Winfrey, Obama said she cannot and will not ever forgive President Donald Trump for stoking a racist conspiracy theory about her husband’s birthplace, because it could easily have inspired the wrong person to take violent action. She and her family have had to live with the risk and manage the toll.
What Obama described is at once a distinct experience - that of the only black First Family - and a common part of black American life. Violence, property crimes, threats and other offenses inspired by racial animus amounted to the most frequent type of hate crime reported in the FBI’s most recent tally of bias crimes. In fact, black Americans have been the most frequent victims of hate crime in every tally of bias incidents generated since the FBI began collecting such data in the early 1990s.
In 2015, when the nation’s current surge in hate crime began, Donald Trump announced his run for president. He did so with a speech which, among other things described Mexican immigrants as rapists.
One day later, Dylann Roof, a white nationalist, attended a prayer meeting at a historic black church in Charleston, South Carolina.
“It has been the case historically, and certainly since we started to get valid statistical information on hate crimes, that African Americans have been the group most frequently targeted,” said Jack McDevitt, director of the Institute of Race and Justice at Northeastern University.
“Our country’s basic problem with diversity started with slavery and, well, Native American slaughter,” McDevitt said.

It’s only that black on white crimes are not considered racist or hate crimes no matter how obvious it is, even when the prep is recorded as spewing racist vitriol during the attack.

Not true. Blacks commit vast numbers of crimes against Blacks, but the crimes are not counted as “hate” crimes. So murder is not hate? Rape is not hate?
Those crimes are welcomed by the left because they keep Blacks down, and then the unhappiness is blamed on Whitey.
They would have us believe that black Americans that are victims of crime are victims of racist hate crime when it’s well known that violence against blacks is by blacks.And why is questioning still suspicious to some the real place of Obama’s birth racist? The same question was raised about McCain when he ran. As for Trump’s comments on Mexican rapists he did not say they were all rapists but we have learned since that many were not averse to breaking our laws even after they broke the law with their illegal entry into our country.

Simple fact of the matter is according to FBI statistics blacks are accused of more hate crimes per capita than any other race
Don’t mention it.
That’s an outright lie.
It’s all about labeling. Black on white violence is just interracial violence and nothing more. White on black violence is usually seen as hate crimes.
It follows from the fact that they per capita, they are most likely to be the perpetrators. And, crime is often local.

Roof issued a manifesto in which he attributed the reason for his actions was the result of the Zimmerman trial. Where a series of attacks on non white males and females who were innocently traversing black areas commonly known as “hoods” were murdered by members of black gangs inspired by President Obama comments claiming a Treyvon Martin “Could have been my son” was a victim reported by media as killed in cold blood because he was black.
Needless to say his use of that excuse was initially reported here in FR and quickly hidden from sight and never refered to;
