Despite Q being Quidam part 2, the real problem as always is that the GOP are a bunch of ball-less wonders. My take at this point is that the GOP exists to make conservatives think they have representation in government when in fact they have none (or very little). Said a different way, the GOP is a phony political party.

I've long been of the mind that a new political party must be formed that would actually fight the battles that the GOP should be fighting but won't. It wouldn't be easy, of course, but if there is one person that could make it happen, it would be Trump. The GOP at this point is worthless and unwilling to fight.

Quidam or Sinkspur? (g)

I've been a registered "I" for years. The globalist/neocon bent to the Rs were never my cup of tea. While the Ds have always been socialists to me, and I've never voted for one, the Bushes drove me away from the Rs. What the hell was a thousand points of light anyway?? I've been a Trumpster from day-1 and will ride with him to the end. But I hear you about something new, and IMO Trump has already broken the Republican party. Politically things will never be the same so yes, maybe a new party will spring up or if the Rs insist on giving us another Romney maybe folks will just stay home. God only knows our future but I've never felt so uneasy in my life.
