SOUTH Africa’s white farmers could face land seizures after the country’s parliament recommended controversial reforms which put their future in doubt. The proposals would see the introduction of laws allowing the state to expropriate land without compensation “in the national interest”.
White South African farmers still own around 73 percent of the country’s commercial agricultural land despite making up just nine percent of the population.
And supporters of sweeping land reform insist the state must step in to transfer ownership of some of the land to black farmers more than two decades after the end of apartheid.

Fortunately, we now have an administration who has the sense and fortitude not to bail out the ANC when the land they steal goes fallow and causes yet another large-scale famine (unlike previous administrations - Clinton, Bush, and Obama, which escalated aid to Sub-Saharan Africa). The additional responses from Pompeo and Trump that I would like to see are the opening of America's doors to some truly worthy refugees (for a change) - South Africa's displaced white farmers, and an end to all diplomatic and economic ties with the ANC.
As to the myth that South Africa's white farmers "stole" land from Bantu blacks, that's complete nonsense. When the Afrikaaners arrived, most of the land they occupied was not being farmed by anyone and in many cases was completely uninhabited by anyone except for hunter-gatherer bushmen.

South Africa’s whites ought to read the writing on the wall and leave the country before they’re murdered. They should come to the US and set up farms and ranches in our western states as many of their countrymen have already done. Unlike the riffraff that we get as “refugees” and “immigrants” (invaders) from Mexico and Central America, these immigrants would for actually make a positive contribution to society and integrate well into American society.
Putin has opened the breadbasket of Russia to many of these farmers and their families. Russia gains: food production and reliable, decent residents. The farmers gain safety, a government that will protect them, and the ability to plan ahead without the sword of land seizures over their heads. Catherine the Great did the same thing in Russia and the Ukraine with German farmers; many of their descendants live in the Dakotas and Minnesota where they farm to this day.

Another sampling of proof that humans are stupid. Monkeys and elephants learn from history and pass on the lessons to generations that follow. But humans? Nope! As a species, we are apparently wired to self destruct through governance of our freedoms and possessions. We are forbidden to use talents, bestowed by God, to enrich the lives of the species through our own good will and work ethic. If goodwill and livelihoods are not granted and provided by the government, it is apparently illegitimate.
What will they buy in the west? They won’t be reimbursed for the land, they are limited as to the amount of money they can take out, and the US government will certainly ignore their plight.
Collateral damage.
In Russia, they'd have to contend with extortion by mafia goons and corrupt government officials. That's probably preferable to having their land taken outright and being hacked to death by machetes by marauding Bantu hordes, but the US would still be a better choice for them, at least while we have a sane President (if we had another Obama, I'd say that the South African farmers would be better off rolling the dice and heading to Russia).
They will bankrupt South Africa and this will be the tipping point that really starts its collapse.
South African farms are large, because the climate is not ideal. They must be large, because the land needs expensive investments in irrigation, pumps and equipment. There is no way small-scale, black farmers (if they even exist) or the ANC cronies, will be able to operate these farms.
South African banks will take a hit because these operations have large financing needs. That will hit the rand, food will become more, expensive, and the whole political-economic cycle then will take another plunge down.
Their ancestors took over a land with a race of people they never outnumbered and couldn’t rule forever. Get out of there now, while you can still exchange your life for your land.
The white farmers would be wise to accept Putin’s offer, migrate to Russia and farm fallow, fertile Russian land. They would prosper.

There is a lot misunderstood by people, and a lot hidden on this evolving situation.
When you look at a map of the country (massive in size)...only around 13-percent of it is agriculturally fertile land (crops, vineyards, cattle, orchards). For a fair percentage of this land (no one can state factually the amount)...it’s only productive if you do irrigation. Most of the orchard products are shipped outside of the country (to Europe) and makes a fair amount of profit for the tax revenue bucket there.
Last month, I spent two weeks in the country (east and west), and talked to around a dozen folks (black and white)...none political and none having any big status.
What a couple point out is that while this chatter is about preventing a repeat of Zimbabwe’s mess from two decades ago...no one says that the farms will be seized (without paying off the owners) and splitting the farms up into two or three acre lots like Mugabe did in Zimbabwe. The ANC Party guys pushing this agenda, in fact, avoid the topic of who gets the land or breaking it up.
So I had this one African guy (anti-ANC), who thinks that what’ll happen here is that seizures will start, and the farms, orchards and vineyards will go ‘intact’....to ANC-favored family members or friends.
What all of these folks said in passing as well...no one believes anything that the government of South Africa says. They don’t believe the cops, the judges, journalists, or religious figures. If you go out to the western coast...lot of locals/tribal figures are anti-ANC.
My take is that when the seizures start up...most of the vineyard and orchard owners will set fire to their productive assets...destroy the irrigation capability, and make the agricultural capability worthless for at least twenty years. A couple of major banks (they are already in serious financial trouble before this starts up) will fail, and I think Trump will prevent the IMF from saving them. By 2030, I would go and predict the nation breaks up into at least ten countries, and the Western Cape will be the largest of those to survive. Massive exodus of young African men will occur because of a lack of jobs. The land seizure will flip the nation into a mess.
That simply isn't true. When the ancestors of Afrikaaners settled and started farming what is now South Africa (especially the western part), there was not a large native population, and the population that was there was not farming the land on any significant scale. "Whites stole their land" is just propaganda from the ANC and its leftist allies.
You overlooked one important fact
The Africaners can not afford to buy American farmland.
One thing that (somewhat) held Mugabe in check is the fact that several Swiss banks told him that if he seizes the property of some of the most prosperous white landowners (thereby making the asset worthless), they would compensate by freezing all of his assets and those of his cronies. European and US banks should do the same on a larger scale with the ANC.
All this, and then, how many white South Africans will make it out of the country without being murdered?
