Witches Now Outnumber Presbyterians in America as Number of Pagans Soar to 1.5 MILLION

The number of self identified witches in America has soared in recent years to 1.5 million. A survey by Pew Research found 0.4% of Americans, between 1 and 1.5 million - identify as Wicca or Pagan, according to Quartz. That means there are now more witches in the US than there are Presbyterians who have around 1.4 million adherents. Experts believe that the explosion in the witch population is due to millennial women’s embracing of new-age spirituality, mindfulness, meditation, and yoga. Wicca, also called Witchcraft or The Craft, is a Pagan religion which emerged in Britain in the early 20th century. Wicca adherents praise nature and nature's gods and goddesses. They practice outside in parks, gardens or fields. They endeavor to achieve self-awakening through dancing, singing, chanting, and with the use of herbs and incense. Despite some depictions, it has no connections with Satanism.

Gerald Gardner, principle developer of modern Wicca, used it to run around nekkid.

I see some of these mindful people out in public. They are in their own imaginary world.

Kind of a meaningless statistic.

It's not as if there are droves switching from Presbyterians to Wiccans.

Presbyterianism has been in slow decline for decades.

PC USA should stop calling themselves a church. They haven’t had a relationship with God or scripture for a century.

They'd stand a much better chance of "self awakening" if they were slapped silly.

I'm thinking based on this textbook, Satanism and Wicca are very, closely related:

Tried to go back to it, but simply couldn’t find a church that actually taught the Bible. Spent 3/4 of the service singing, or having announcements, or “special music” by someone, and then offering (can’t miss that), and if there was time maybe a 15-20 minute sermon with a nice, long story about something. Ya...not worth it.

The Bible teaching should come during Sunday School or Bible Study Class. One cannot get a lot of Bible instruction during the worship service. The singing of hymns, special music, reciting of creeds, etc are all part of worship. IMO, worship is for God and not for us.

I worry more about pro-abortionists claiming to be Christians.

"God has made it clear that Wicca is dangerous and incompatible with Christianity. He made His creation for us to enjoy as a reflection of His character, but not to be worshiped instead of Him. Wicca may seem attractive, magical and different, but it does not give eternal life and a relationship with the God of the universe. If you choose Wicca, you cannot choose God as well, because He will not tolerate worship of anything but Himself. He is perfect and holy. Study God's Word and you will find that a life centered on the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who gave His life for us on the Cross is better than anything we could ever find here on earth."

Reminds me of a scene from Brigadoon:

Mr. Lundie: They were indeed horrible, destructive women. I dinna suppose you have such women in your country?

Tommy Albright: Witches?

Jeff Douglas: Oh, we have 'em. We pronounce it differently.

As a child of a pastor, I know when my dad sang hymns it was from the heart. But many just go with the flow for outward appearances. I humbly disagree Bible teaching should be reserved to Sunday school or Bible study, although those are important. A sermon can and should hold important Bible teaching for the congregation.

There is probably a good deal of overlap between Presbyterians, Wiccans, and global warming cultists: church on Sunday, spell casting on full moon nights, and Antifa riots the other days of the week.

If the wackans are as devout as the majority of Christians, they’ll show up on Halloween and Valpurgis Night and maybe a virgin sacrifice or two during the year.

I have written a number of comments blistering the false Pope Bergoglio. That's because he's happily taking the RC Church down the same evil, communist, pro-muslim road that far too many main stream protestant church have been on for far too long and before the RC Church. Being on that evil road for so long is why the Presbyterian Church has fallen to this well deserved ridiculous low.
