The US Central Intelligence Agency has concluded Saudi Arabia's powerful Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was behind the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, US media reported Friday, citing people close to the matter.
The US assessment directly contradicts the conclusions of a Saudi prosecutor one day prior, which exonerated the prince of involvement in the brutal murder.
But The Washington Post, which broke the story, said the CIA found that 15 Saudi agents flew on government aircraft to Istanbul and assassinated Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate.

There is a war within Saudi Arabia, which is an analog to the war going on within our own government.
The crown prince’s enemies are trying to overthrow him, and they are calling in their chips here in the US. Their chips here happen to be the very same people who want Trump out.
CIA’s job is to be the president’s eyes and ears, and secondarily to inform certain select members of the senate. Since when do they bypass the president and go to the press?

CIA’s source is Turkey. Trump has undermined and essentially defeated Turkey in Syria. In so doing he has also defeated one faction within CIA as well as one faction within Saudi Arabia.
They aren’t going to forgive that. Since the crown prince is backing Trump, and Trump backs the prince, the same people are going after both of them.
I don’t know why Khashoggi was murdered the way he was. Normally they would have simply killed him by much more deniable means. You have to wonder whose idea it was to do it in such a public way.
If so, what bad thing happened here? WaPo was paying an extremist Islamic thug.

Yes. My gut tells me that Pompeo probably did a good job of eliminating the worst of the CIA while he ran it.
Its my understanding (correct me if I’m in error) that the Prince is out to modernize SA and to moderate Islam so as to remove it’s 7th Century Wahhabbi fundamentalism. Thus, no fundamentalist Islamic country (Turkey?) likes the prince, and any claims against him my his fundamentalist opponents should be viewed with a lot of skepticism. Besides, who believes anything claimed by the CIA, anymore?

The election is over, or at least whatever part of it the Dem’s were trying to this to help their cause. In a few years, some poor girl will get beheaded in a public square for adultery, and the same folks that want to get to the bottom of this, won’t say boo.
And who cares? This is an internal Saudi issue, Koshogi is not American, he is a foreigner.
If the US trapped a traitor it considered a national threat, we would execute him. The Saudis did the same.
All this posturing and ‘outrage’ is to hide something else.. something else is going on behind the scenes between Saudi Arabia, Turkeyl and the USA and this is just pressure applied to the Saudis.
