No. I don’t think this is a healthy outlook moving forward. Republicans need to get their act together. Beto got a lot of votes in Texas. The Dems are putting up shinier candidates, and the public has proven willing to overlook their leftier elements.
Democrats won it on demographics and vote fraud. Trump has done nothing so far to stop either.
Not sure I would agree on the “minimal losses in the House” part. But 2020 is going to be a heck of a fight.
I believe part of the losses could be because the incumbent was retiring or choosing not to run for reelection. That may in some part have conveyed a hidden meaning to people that the incumbent wanted change. How many retiring or non running incumbent seats were flipped?
We are losing the war of ideas and capturing new minds because we have ceded the realm of education to the leftists. That doesn't bode well in 2020.

If there was a “trump” (real world experience and NOT life long politicians) or 3 in every state the GOP would be invincible.
