My 9 year old daughter stumbled upon it, gave it a solid 5 minutes and dumped it. She resumed her Sharknado marathon.
Thus, my in-house expert gave it the thumbs down.
Add to this the reboot of the newest Star Trek franchise which has unenthused their fans by going in the same direction. CBS & Viacom had hoped that ST:Discovery would be a driving force for the new CBS All ACCESS service but that seems to have crashed against the rock of fan antipathy if not hostility. Apparently this has also caused such financial problems that even the Star Trek movies are losing their stars.
Another example of the social/entertainment war being waged between the perverted and normal people. Normal people need to push back even harder against this radical minority trying to “normalize” destructive madness. Netflix is firmly in the enemy camp.
It’s a show designed for 24 year olds that still want to act like they are 11, so the show is full of kid characters, drawn in that annoying “Cal-arts” style, engaged in clumsy humor and randomness, that is supposed to be an “adventure” show.
Contrast that to She-Ra and He-Man from the 80s, that was a kids show, with adult characters, drawn in a non-frivolous style, where the cast engaged in serious adventures against defined bad guys, where a real moral lesson was learned at the end of each episode.
It was for kids to admire the virtues that would come with being responsible, mature, moral, selfless, and heroic adults....and also to sell toys.
“She-Ras a safe-for-kids show”
No, no it’s not. If it has blatant hints at homo, it is NOT “safe”.
Neither are movies/shows safe that push The Environment(TM), Diversity(TM) and all their agendas, or those that constantly engage in potty/sex humor. Which means these days, 99% “kids” FAIL.
As a (some what) mature adult I throught Netflix did a good job with Voltron...but it’s safe to say I’m not exactly the target audience for She-Rah
Those were among the worst cartoons of all time.
It’s hard the believe anyone would reboot them.
But people in the business today have zero creativity which make sense because they’re only interested in socio-political radical propaganda.
Why would they create anything?
Even the beyond absurd but entertaining MASK tried to inject a little history here and there or so I read.
Such super smart villains with zero sense. Figure out the kid with the robot is that keeps showing up and voila, the head of MASK.
In my opinion cartoons of the 80s were generally garbage because they had insipid brain numbing messages. The older adventure cartoons from the 70s & 60s were better because they were all about the action with no robotic teaching, just entertainment for kids.
This she-ra garbage sounds like the worst ever, just lib messages with no redeeming anything.

Your post is the only thing that makes sense here.
The original article had me confused, because for a second...
... And let me channel my “vanilla sky” Tom cruise scream...
I thought we were talking about A F***IN CARTOON!”
Toward the end of the 80s, animation started going downhill.
A few exceptions:
Exo-Squad
Johnny Bravo
Dexter’s Lab
Tiny Toons
Anamaniacs
Pinky And The Brain
Batman / Superman TAS
Sounds like a toxic mixture!
“Even third-wave feminists...”
There’s such a thing as third-wave feminists? What the Hell is that?
Man, I am checked out of this culture. Happily.
Get Woke, Go Broke.
They need to bring back the original politically incorrect Johnny Quest.
Yeah most of those were decent, maybe because the main point wasn’t to sell toys. The writing was better as well. The Hanna Barbera action cartoons of the mid-late 60s like Jonny Quest and Space Ghost didn’t sell toys on a big scale, but the writing was very simple.

If they chowed Haji charming a snake now there would be mass outrage because of the cultural insensitivity and micro-aggressions. Pence kind of looks like Race Bannon, ha.
