Macron said that as an obvious barb to get under Donald Trump’s skin, and possibly to help boost his plummeting approval numbers. But what was Merkel’s motivation to take such a cheap shot?~~~~~~~~~~

Are they're going to dismantle all their social programs to fund this "European army"? Or do they think that the US will pay for it?

"She clarified the such a force would not mean the end of NATO.."

It will be the end of any American financial support of gasbag euro-peon's defense.

Many of you are going to hate this: the prophetic Scriptures in the Book of Ezekiel tell of a time when a Russian-Muslim state coalition will invade Israel. The passages tell that the invasion will come in a time of unwalled villages--Old Testament imagery that means in a time of peace. (The Bible also says there will come a time when human kind will chant "peace, peace" when in fact there is no peace.)

Among the invaders is a nation called Togarmah. Various scholars disagree exactly which nation this will be. Some say Turkey, others Armenia. (In the context of the Ezekiel passages, I have a difficult time believe it could be Armenia.)

A few scholars think Togarmah may be, or include, Germany.

Yes, please do..

But first pay us what you owe us in NATO contribution, for this year and also prior years, you losers.

And what army was that required soldiers to stop soldiering after 8 hours? and the calculation of overtime etc.? was that the norwegians? Are the Europeans going to implement similar rules? Hehehe... I foresee a Turkish invasion of Germany by the Turks, lead by Erdogan.

But since both Turkey and Germany are in NATO, they can’t call on us for help and we can’t choose sides.. BUAHAHAHAHAHA

I guess we should shut down and remove all our military bases that are in Germany.

An across the board 90% across the board tax rate would cover it.

Because we have such a long history of invading Europe?

Unlike, say, Germany?

Germany has been united for a very small part of European history (not even 150 years) and has started (IIRC) five wars in Europe.

Personally I would not trust Germany with an army but no skin off my nose.

Since when has the U. S. ever displayed a desire to invade Europe against our allies?

You know folks, it’s as if a virus had infested Europe, and those folks lost the ability to reason.

Marcon, Merkel,...

What rational excuse can those folks come up with, to justify their hatred of the U. S.?

They are being invaded by people who wish to destroy their nations, and they focus on their best ally.

I sometimes state, “There’s a sickness in the land.”

Perhaps we need to address it as a “Sickness on the planet.”

“”we have to work on the vision of one day creating a real European army.””

Make sure your army is made up of the muslims you welcomed with open arms. We’d like nothing better than to wipe them all out at one time without a protracted war...

Is this not the most ridiculous thing you ever heard? She has opened her country to milliions of young muslim thugs and is almost wholy dependent on Putin and Russia for natural gas. Yet she thinks Europe needs an army to defend itself... from the United States?!

This traitorous b*tch can't leave office soon enough.

That didn’t work so well for them in the 1940’s.
Maybe Angie has a different approach than Hitler did.
Maybe snappier uniforms for the Germans?

The remarks were met with a mix of boos and cheers from lawmakers, with some British representatives crying “Rubbish! Rubbish!”

At least someone is sane over there.
