Sen. Jeff Flake announced Wednesday that he will not vote to advance any new judicial nominees through the Judiciary Committee, nor will he vote to confirm picks on the Senate floor, until he gets his way on unrelated legislation to prevent the firing of special counsel Robert Mueller.
Mr. Flake made the announcement on the Senate floor minutes after his bid to pass the bill failed.
His threat could block the committee from approving any more judges this year, since the GOP only holds a one-seat majority on the panel.
Its less catastrophic to approving judges on the Senate floor, where the GOP holds 51 seats. Even losing Mr. Flake, Republicans could still approve judges on a 50-50 vote with Vice President Mike Pence breaking the tie.

This guy is a few levels below a POS.
What a spiteful son of a b**ch BAST@RD!!!
Nasty, bitter and petty to the very end, just like his evil b*tt boy Juan McStain.
Youre still a big fat LOSER, Nine Percent Approval Rating Jeffy!!
flake is an subhuman sack of....(fill in the blank). What an absolute loser.
Yup. Throw him off the committee and put him in the corner.
BASTARD
nobody gives a damn what The Flake wants, or tries to do.
He can’t stop the Senate from doing its work, and he’s already made such an embarrassing fool of himself that even his many critics don’t pay any attention to his antics, anymore
the nut from Arizona has made himself both irrelevant and boring
The full Senate may vote on a nominee not approved by the committee though it’s seldom done. Flake also says he’ll vote no in the full vote so if a couple other R’s join him the nominee won’t be confirmed.
Your right on Romney, is there someplace the republicans can bury him in the Senate?
Strip him of his committee assignment then.
Flakely loves being an @$$hole. He has 53 more days before it expires.
McConnell should just end the session and send Flake into his well deserved poltical oblivion. We will have more Senators in Jan.
Flake again.
Yeah, he could lay a guilt trip on the Weak Sisters or twist their arm in some way.
Yep, he’s a pathetic excuse for not only a conservative but a Republican.
No, the NEXT session which would be Jan 2021
I dont think Grassley and McConnell will let this loser pull a McCain on the way out.
***************
I get your point but I’m not at all confident that Grassley and McConnell will push the nominees through. The GOP is looking forward to returning to its usual and comfortable role of following the Democrats. They revel in being accommodative compromisers instead of leading and accomplishing anything.
Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He needs to have his phone and email lines flooded!
Flakey takes his orders from MSNBC honcho Phil Griffin, his future boss.
Another McCain
CRIPES
