Silicon Valley is in thrall to the cult of diversity. Its measures its employees against racial metrics even as an industry, whose engine is meant to be the intellect, purges any hint of intellectual diversity.

It happened at Mozilla with Brendan Eich, the creator of Javascript.

It happened at Google with James Damore.

Now it happened at Facebook with Palmer Luckey.

Luckey's Oculus fueled the race for virtual reality. Facebook bought his company for a fortune. And then it forced him out because he supported Trump and opposed Hillary.

Diversity is when all white males and conservatives are fired.

Broken up into what? A face and a book? It’s not like AT&T where there are many companies under the same umbrella or Microsoft which was manipulating the market by coercing their partners.

This is simply political persecution. That seems to always happen when leftists have power anywhere in the world and anytime in history. They permit no substantial opposition or freedom of thought. Everyone must submit to them.

Add to that list, Linus Torvalds (Linux creator)....presumably removed from the dev team for similar (not putting up with the BS?) attitude and maybe not rogering up to the dev team’s squishy code of conduct code for coders..........

How soon today would the “Taggart bridge” collapse if Atlas Shrugged?

They need to be treated (and told!) like the are a “common carrier” they have no say over user content. The old phone companies had no way of controlling what you said, FaceBook should not be allowed to control what you post. If FB is worried about losing business because users don’t like the posts then that’s just the way it is. FB should say (BE REQUIRED TO SAY IF NECESSARY!) don’t look at them, block them, ignore them otherwise we can’t help you!

There is nothing preventing someone from competing with Facebook. Just like there was nothing preventing Facebook from competing with Myspace.
