Former first lady Michelle Obama says she took a page out of Laura Bush’s playbook and reached out to Melania Trump to offer advice on the years ahead — and the current FLOTUS ghosted her.
“Has (Trump) reached out?” asked ABC anchor Robin Roberts during a sit-down with Obama on Sunday.
“No,” said Obama. “No, she hasn’t.”
Trump’s communications director, Stephanie Grisham, confirmed the lack of correspondence in a statement to CNN on Monday.
“Mrs. Trump is a strong and independent woman who has been navigating her role as First Lady in her own way,” the statement said. “When she needs advice on any issue, she seeks it from her professional team within the White House.”
Obama — who was on ABC promoting her new memoir, “Becoming” — said she had gotten the idea to reach out to Trump from Bush, who had given her the same offer for help when she became first lady.
“I’m a phone call away,” Obama recalled her saying.

Why, would Melania need help each morning as to which curtain or tablecloth to wear?
A competent reporter would have followed up with Micheal and asked how many times she reached out to laura and what specifically did Laura suggest and how did it influence the outcome of whatever it was????
Although, perhaps Melania could have used Mooch’s advice as to how to hire and employ upwards of 4 dozen staff? nah...
I wonder if Laura Bush asked for Hillary’s help. I wonder if Michelle asked for Laura’s help.
I thought that the White House already has people who clean its toilets.
I can’t imagine Melania even wanting to talk to that. She certainly does not need its advice or fashion tips.

Why should Melania ask for help from the wife of the President who spied on the Trump campaign and transition teams and while Trump was sitting President. Obama tried to overturn the results of an election.
Right there in the above excerpt it says Michelle remembers Laura Bush saying "I'm only a phone call away". Since Michelle doesn't 'remember' anything else, you can bet that she never took Laura up on her offer.
Besides, what advice would Laura Bush have given to Michelle , other than Don't let Joe Biden near your daughters ?
