Perhaps annoyed that jingoistic country music is not yet as infested with left-wing promotional politics as other musical and entertainment fields, a major newspaper again used the annual Country Music Association Awards to push gun-control politics onto the industry,
Reporter Elizabeth Harris garnered the front page of the New York Times Arts section for her Saturday piece Singing About Pain, But Not Its Source -- A country awards show may discuss its slain fans, but guns and politics are unlikely topics:
The Country Music Association Awards are supposed to be a celebration of one of Americas enduring art forms, a night of star performances, gentle ribbing and a red carpet resplendent with formal wear and the occasional cowboy hat.
But Wednesday, when this years awards are presented in Nashville, there is one thing guests probably wont be doing: having any discussion of gun laws.
For the second year in a row, the CMA Awards will closely follow a mass shooting of the industrys own fans. Twelve people were gunned down late Wednesday night at a country and western dance hall in Thousand Oaks, Calif. In October 2017, 58 people were killed and hundreds wounded at a country music festival in Las Vegas. Some who survived Las Vegas were there Wednesday night in Thousand Oaks. One of them did not survive the second time.
While much of the entertainment world has tacked sharply and openly to the left in the last two years, with celebrities politicking from awards stages in ball gowns and black tie, country music has taken a more cautious, tight-lipped approach.

We need counter-media - we’re only getting one message anymore that’s being browbeaten into compliance.
Not very many of the boots and Daisy Dukes crowd attacked the other day have been on TV demanding that their rights be taken away.
In fact, none that I’ve seen.
When Lefty country stars like Steve Earle shoot up, they use heroin.

A community is low on a Respect scale if common courtesy is withheld from large groups of people on account of their political attitudes.
...in a downright despotism opposition is dangerous whether the despotism is official or whether it is unofficial...
A community rates low on the Information scale when the press, radio, and other channels of communication are controlled by only a few people and when citizens have to accept what they are told.
See how a community trains its teachers
...these students are being taught to accept uncritically whatever they are told. Questions are not encouraged.
And if books and newspapers and the radio [and facebook and youtube and...] are officially controlled the people will read and accept exactly what the few in control want them to. Government censorship is one form of control. The newspaper that breaks the government censorship rule can be suspended. It is also possible for newspapers and other lines of communication to be controlled by private interests...

The newspapers of a real democracy meet these tests...
Newspaper checks.
1. Balance of coverage
2. Disclosure of source
3. Competence of staff
Although sober, that bastard is evil to the core.
NY & LA - These are the Times that try men’s souls...
Lock step Leftists include Tim McGraw and Kacey Musgraves, as well as many more second-tier artists. It’s almost obvious these days that country music execs are mostly Leftists.
Look for Leftist filth spewing uncontested on the CMA awards in a few days.
Made it this part only and never read the rest of the article:
“Perhaps annoyed that jingoistic country music is not yet as infested with left-wing promotional politics “
I wanna spit some Beechnut in that dude’s eye...
Dixie Chicks!
Are the “celebrities” going to give up their armed guards?
Didn’t think so.
C&W musicians know that hostility to the 2A would be the kiss of death to their careers, ala the dixie chicks. Most C&W artists agree with tht 2A , and those who don’t are smart enough to keep their mouths shut.

The country music industry has been taken over by coastal liberals. Most country music stars have been forced to accept liberal policies, or have been forced out. Gun control is one of the last, but will likely be embraced soon.
Ted Nugent’s opinion is
One I would Consider Solid!
Obviously there are exceptions. But for the most part, those country artists who disagree with the 2A keep their mouths shut .
