When I was a lad growing up in Tennessee, all my friends wanted to leave and head to California where all the girls were beautiful, you surfed all day and danced all night.

The living was easy.... or so it seemed.

Now the Golden State is more renown for being flooded with illegals, wildfires and crap in the streets.

Sooo glad I never moved to the West Coast.. I'd be packing to leave right now where the dreams are real and the living is easy... Tennessee Dreaming!

Not enough city sidewalks to ‘house’ the unhousebroken homeless.

2. Don’t get rid of his policies
3. Re-elect Governor Moonbeam

California can be so intoxicating, people who spend time there think anything is possible.

So many voters bought into this illusion that the politicians learned to promise anything, and people would believe you. Politics in California became a fight between the people who promised paradise, and the people who said "wait a minute, let's think this through."

Of course, you can see who won that argument.

Now the bills are coming due, and the California power elites have hit on a new strategy: as the number of natives who have "gotten wise" increases, they can just import more naive dummy voters from south of the border. Problem solved, or at least problem kicked down the road for a future generation to solve.

Meanwhile, California Nights beckon!

Basically in the sort of trouble that the Soviet Union and East Bloc and even EU members like Greece, Spain, Italy, and Portugal. When Big Daddy consumes all sorts of resources needed to pay everyone, that sort of thing is going to collapse under it’s own weight. We conservatives get to see a good number of ugly and unpleasant things, but it is likely going to be far worse for those who depend on the free lunches and related things.

Hell, I saw all this coming way back in the late 1970s, and that is why I got the hell out of California in 1979. I went back for a few days in 2016 when my Mom dies, but since then there have been weddings of nephews and nieces that I have passed on attending. My 50th high school reunion is coming up next year and I won’t be going back for that, either. I will never again spend a dime in or on California. It used to be paradise, but the f**king Democrats destroyed it. Perhaps it is fitting that the California town that was just destroyed by the fire — and a town they are now saying will never be rebuilt — was named Paradise.

California is run by communist hard left Democrats. That should explain it.

“Now the Golden State is more renown for being flooded with illegals...”

“Legals” from back east like Pelosi and Boxer are the ruination.

yes, the top reasons the once-great (and beautiful) state of Californication is going to Hell
now

are
1. commie style political hacks that raise your taxes skyhigh
2. commie style political hacks that restrict your liberties
3. commie style political hacks that are corrupt as HELL
4. commie style political hacks that pay the highest welfare benefits to millions of able-bodied lazy bums (not just to those persons who are disabled or otherwise genuinely may need some help)
5. commie style political hacks that destroy the living environment (such as by selling favors to developers allowing many huge new, mostly ugly apartment blocks bringing in thousands of new cars without adequate parking or any new highways)... while bullsheitting 24/7 about same
6. commie style political hacks that lie to the voters in every election, and also in between elections
7. as was famously said about the Shitty of San Fransicko politicians many years ago, “they’re so damned corrupt that they’d eat the paint off city hall’s walls if they thought they’d get paid a nickle for doing it)”

oh yeah, did I mention Californcation is infested with many commie-style political hacks (sell-out-the-people whores)?

I hope I didn’t forget to mention them...
/s

oh yeah, i DID forget to mention...
one more thing at least,

that
Californication’s commie-style political whores
have rigged the ballot
so that (in most races) the public only gets a choice between two commie-style political hacks (with ZERO opposing candidates, not even GOP-e sell-out country club Republicans)

just like elections in the old Soviet Union

I may have just lost my house in Magalia due to the Camp fire. Might be the right time to get the heck out of Cal.

part 3

so therefore, the Californication commie-style political whores CANNOT be voted out of office

they’re in there forever, barring only the national GOP party coming in with some real leadership and real money and real media (all the major Californcation mass media is 24/7 commie propaganda)

the state IS salvageable imho.. but it will take a major investment that maybe the GOP doesn’t think worth the fight?

The #1 reason why California is not sustainable is the cost of illegal immigration, yet they welcome it. Nearly 33% of the welfare recipients in the United States live in California.

I wish there was a magic cure.

I was just in the Bay Area for a visit last weekend. The weather was great but that’s all I can say nice about it. It continues to be over populated and over priced. In San Jose I didn’t see a homeless problem though. I guess they have them shuffled to areas not normally seen by visitors.

South of SanFran the weather tends to be warm or not so warm. Those are the two official seasons. The unofficial seasons are fire, floods, landslides, and earthquakes.

Yes, the left did ruin CA, a state that used to lead the nation in ideas and policies but those days are long gone. I think the sheer number of people living there ruined it and the massive unchecked influx from Mexico was the main culprit. That’s not a dig on Mexicans. That’s a dig on our government for not stopping it when we had a chance. That bell can’t be un-wrung. (sp)

This article is from April so it’s fairly current. Even though officially people are leaving CA. Unofficially they are still pouring in from Hispanic and other countries. That must stop (70 years ago) but since we can’t go back in time to fix it; we will have to settle for stopping it now. I don’t know if there’s a road back for CA, I hope so, but I seriously doubt it unless a plague wipes out half the population. Speaking of roads; I saw improved roads since my last visit (2 years ago) so I guess that makes two nice things I can say about CA right now.

But boy o boy do the urban areas suck.

I've come to the conclusion the problem with California is that they have had it too easy there. Consider:

The weather, compared to the extremes seen elsewhere in the Country, is generally pretty decent to downright beautiful year round.

Natural resources - the State is blessed with ready access to the sea via multiple ports for commercial fishing, oil, minerals, etc.

Farming, viable year round, creates excess food supply for export.

Tourism, for the beautiful weather, great natural wonders and vistas. It happens to be a decent jumping off point for airline trips to the west, cruises...

Industry - including the TV and film industry as well as silicon valley, shipping from Asia, military bases...

So Californians are blessed with all these gifts and things just come easy to them. So they think everyone everywhere has things that good. They develop a rather cavalier attitude about things "So what's a little XYZ in the grand scheme of things?" Not realizing that elsewhere that little bit of extra cost, or reduced performance, or more regulation, or more government etc. is often the difference between make or break, or thriving vs just surviving. Yet Californians see themselves as "leaders" for the Nation, believing everyone should follow their example. Heck, even some States like Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, etc. try to out California California.

That's their main problem: they've had it too good for too long and now the consequences of their ill-conceived and unsustainable policies are coming home to roost.

I’ve been living in SoCal since 1966 and had a front row seat to watch it change.

California has been overwhelmed with immigration, more legal than illegal. That dynamic will change even the most stable culture, something that California probably lacked in the first place.

Many of my friends have moved to other states over the years. Their choice, not because they had to. The newcomers from other countries bring their own cultures with them. Most are pleasant enough, but simply planting their feet here doesn’t mean that they share our values, despite what the airheads composing the GOP establishment will tell you. The Democrats know better, and they openly run on an anti-white America program.

SoCal is badly overcrowded. It has little shared culture, and sometimes little shared language. It’s expensive. The newcomers vote left, even the newcomers who earn very good livings.

As long as the border spigot is wide open, California will keep exporting people to other states. And you may not want what they bring with them.

The government(s) in California are in denial, and won’t admit that California is the American version of Venezuela. The citizens of California are in the same kind of denial, when they continue voting in the same socialists, believing that things are peachy and getting better.

Nobody can deny that if California was not part of the U.S., that California would have died as a viable country a long time ago, and would be no better off than Venezuela or Cuba or Haiti.
