A mysterious reddish cigar-shaped object spotted tumbling through our solar system last year may have been an alien spacecraft sent to investigate Earth, astronomers from Harvard University have suggested.

.....”Scientists push back against Harvard ‘alien spacecraft’ theory”......
Alan Fitzsimmons, an astrophysicist at Queens University, Belfast. states.....”It has already been shown that its observed characteristics are consistent with a comet-like body ejected from another star system,”
Katie Mack, a well-known astrophysicist at North Carolina State, also took issue with the alien hype......”The thing you have to understand is: scientists are perfectly happy to publish an outlandish idea if it has even the tiniest sliver of a chance of not being wrong,” ....”But until every other possibility has been exhausted dozen times over, even the authors probably don’t believe it.”

.....”Why we shouldnt cry aliens about that interstellar space rock just yet”....
To add a bit of context, one of the scientists making this exotic claim is currently working on an initiative to look for extraterrestrial life in deep space, by sending probes from Earth to other star systems.
Also Objects like this one are thought to pass through our Solar System all the time, but this is the first exo-comet or a comet from outside our cosmic neighborhood that weve ever detected.

an alien probe got me when I was bending over. Oh, he was my proctologist. Never mind!
How many people have you met in your life that have said "I wish I were a proctologist"?
Only an alien would say something like that....
