Extreme Ithaca Liberals You got a good schtick and you're giving it up because why? They complained?

Ithaca is a little leftist oasis in the middle of the forest - healing crystals, unshaved lesbians and aggressive drug-addict beggars all can be had in a 1 square kilometer area.
All funded by massive student debt.

Down in Ithaca, there’s often an awful smell.
Some say it’s Cayuga’s waters.
Some say it’s Cornell ...

I suspect he’s figured out they’re catching onto it. His most recent opponent , despite having lived in Ithaca previously, changed her residence to another city before running.

Politically it makes sense, given that Trump has been peeling away Democrat voters and even minorities. If some are looking to #walkaway let’s leave the door open for them.
To: Behind Liberal Lines
Well, it’s probably redundant anyway.

How about “A liberal if Ithaca persuasion”
To: Behind Liberal Lines
“One of Congressman Tom Reed’s favorite campaign talking points has been to cast his opponents as “Extreme Ithaca Liberals.” One day after winning re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives, he has decided to retire the term.”
Instead, he’ll go back to his old term for extreme Ithaca liberals: “those liberal @ssholes.”

Ithaca is smallish city in a beautiful setting among hills orchards and farms on a wonderful lake.....
Cornell sits there as well as Ithaca college....
its not the worse of the worse.....

Indeed, Ithaca is in a very nice setting. I know it well.
All the debt-fed, ivory-tower, self-reinforcing leftist echo-chamber academics do have an effect on the place though.

I agree. Other than the local political scene, Ithaca is great. I've lived in or near here since 1978. Love the area.
I just pay little-to-no mind to the students, radical leftists, and other assorted crazies. There are plenty of good, normal people to work and play with.
And if you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes...

“The Ithaca Voice” how pretentious. I guess Ithaca Wingnuts is available as a label.
To: grobdriver
Maybe he plans to keep running. It’s likely after 2020 that NYS will lose another 1 to 2 House districts. Reed’s district has been gerrymandered before. Maybe he’s thinking it will again. If so, it will likely be to get rid of Reed.
