No, a different one. I haven’t found his social media.
Or 5. "Manchurian" groomed by Soros and Southern Poverty Law Center who wasn't able to 'go off' during the election season but had to be eliminated anyhow...
It was confirmed on the thread that it is NOT him.
“3. Guy who assume country-western people are Republicans”
Judging from the people I saw on the news this morning (one with a MAGA hat and another with a Reagan t-shirt) that was a pretty sound assumption.
Yes I do know that firearms are not banned in Ca, just some of them. I did not say that firearms were banned. In case you missed it, those that do not comply with the “micro stamping” requirement have been banned from sale for sometime. Furthermore, removable magazines of ten rounds or more are also banned as of last year. According to the news reports, both situations could have precluded his possession of “extended” magazines with a firearm purchased since 07 or so. That was the point of my comment which was made as sarcasm.
What is important about this story, way beyond whether he had approved firearms, is this guy was an apparent mental case who planned to take out a bunch of people before killing himself. What drove that is troubling as it seems to almost be a movie scene or something from a video game. There is no justification for it, not a damn thing.
Such a tragedy.
Interesting. You might be right. But that theory requires rational thought.
All ham crazy?
I understand the direction you are going here. And suicide is also a serious problem. But we are at a point where harming others besides themselves is becoming just as much of a problem.
What happened to the days when a mental health provider actually earned their money with support and dialog instead of just running them through like cattle prescribing dangerous drugs and accepting events like this as an acceptable side effect?
It really needs to be seriously addressed because there has got to be a better way which might protect both sides of this equation.

psychiatric hosptials are revolving doors. There are no long term commitments to state hospitals except for violent crime. The laws do not work to protect the public from the mentally ill or the mentally ill from the public.
Psychiatric illness is about symptoms and lack of judgment, and the talk therapy you reference is not useful for the significantly mentally ill.
We have lousy leftist polities for the mentally ill, that should have been rectified a long time ago. The sixties are over. Medication is not the answer for people who will not take them and roam free.
Being prescribed medications does not mean the patients are taking them.
Saw her this morning. She used one or two odd turns of phrase.
Not every shooting is an MK Ultra conspiracy. The guy who killed Chris Kyle was a troubled vet. People go crazy sometimes without drugs or some secret program. PTSD is real and we have vets whove seen more combat deployments than any previous generation.
I pray for the families of all the victims.
And here lies the problem... After studying this issue for years now it is not so much the use of the drugs but what happens if you run out or do not take them.
This reality is what needs to be addressed and the drug companies need to be held to task for. It has now been scientifically proven that once you start taking these drugs even for just a few days these kind of things are what happens if you run out, are cut off, or quit taking these drugs.
For what it’s worth. AP Images aren’t allowed on FR. You may want
to hit the abuse button and get it removed #36
COULD HAVE BEEN A LOT OF THINGS...MH ISSUES, PTSD.
HOW about we give this Marine some respect before we “analyze” him with potshots!

I'm glad you saw her, B.L..
She is "electric" .... that's a word from the 70's that meant to me and others that she is cool and smart and informational.

Now .... not that I disagree with you, but could you please explain what, "She used one or two odd turns of phrase" meant?
Thank you in advance.

"Ben Lurkin" is a great screen name!
When I was younger and even more stupid, my screen name on another forum was, "Ben Drinkin'".
YOI !
Who knows. I saw it on the 4chins so usual disclaimers apply.
Wow are you brilliant!
We have laws on the books re psychiatric admissions to hospitals. 72 hour hold if someone is a danger to themselves or others.
“Support and dialog???” You obviously have NO CLUE about the lack of psychiatric services —doctors, therapists, nurses, etc— THAT ARE NOT AVAILABLE either at the VA or in the community!!
I’M sick of all this BLAH BLAH about MH health and guns.
1) WE DONT’ HAVE ENOUGH MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES.
2) YOU CAN’T JUST LOCK SOMEONE UP AND THROW THE KEYS AWAY...THAT WAS 70 YRS AGO.
Psychology and psychiatry are pseudo sciences.
Insane asylums worked. 70 years ago is the way to go.
The modern medicate and release obviously isnt working.
We don’t know enough at this stage in our development to be mucking with brain chemistry. This is one more way liberal ‘elites’ who run the American Psychological Association (APA) are destroying traditional American men. They don’t give ‘help’ they give drugs. Fifty years ago it was better...
