I have reviewed that video quite a number of times. It is clear that his left arm came down on hers. However, as much as I despise Jim Acosta, I don’t think that this was a purposeful hit. It looks like it was very unintentional, as if his arm was coming down to grab back at the mic that she was grabbing from him. Of course, she had the right to take the microphone away, as the President of the United States basically told him to stop talking, and he kept talking on a White House owned microphone. She was doing her job, and he was clearly trying to stop her from that, plus being disruptive and disrespectful to the POTUS.

There’s no question but that he is one of the more obnoxious SOB’s in the entire media, but I don’t think he’s guilty of assaulting that young lady. Nonetheless, the CNN ban is fully justified.

He deliberately brought his hand down to block her from grabbing the microphone (which is her job). His job was to follow the rules and give it to her.

When he pushes her arm it is forceful enough that you can clearly see her shoulder and head being jerked forward, putting her off balance, and causing her to then take a small step forward to regain her balance.
