It was NOT a karate chop-—her arm came up and his hand bumped into her arm.
..
We’re in the “Me Too” era. Acosta was showing his “Male Privilege” and “Toxic Masculinity” toward the intern.
He must be fired. And CNN knows it.
Jim was given the privilege of asking one question. He abused the privilege and should be banned for this. Whether or not he was threatening to the intern doesn’t really matter. I’m surprised the secret service didn’t jump in during his excessive persistence.
Not even the WH is calling it an assault.
Preventing her from doing her job was terrible behavior, though. Glad that his pass has been taken away.
If logic and reason ruled, I agree.
But this is spin and politics.
Acosta is one of the anointed opposition. They will protect him, and I pray that someone is protecting that intern.
Nope. He’s toast.
Word is most of the other White House reporters hate the little airtime-sucking weasel anyway, and I’m sure CNN has someone just as smarmy waiting in the wings for his or her “big chance” — at a fraction of Acosta’s salary.
He just sailed himself into the perfect storm. Buh bye.
Mike Acosta is a chauvinistic pig use physical dominance over a female.
So I just checked with some people I know...
Narrative is
1. She should have “shown respect for the Free Press” and let Acosta continue
2. Trump just violated the constitution (?) by banning Acosta
3. A court case will be filed against Trump and potentially against the intern for “assault”
Now, I doubt that they will go all the way to the last one, but the first two are already out there being bleated on social media.
Like I said, Acosta is protected.
“Some people you know” are out-and-out crazy.
Handy tip: Buy some new friends.
They have been seen by the left and they all believe that the video vindicates Acosta and shows the intern assaulting him. Every thread on twitter about this is loaded with libtards by the dozens swearing that that is so.
They shouldn’t have to lay hands on someone to get banned. Glad Acosta is gone but jeez.
no he chopped down on her arm with his arm, it is a clearly intentional movement
not brutal but definite intention to prevent her from taking the microphone, which HE should have given to her without any of the hassle.....
no he clearly chops downward with his arm
I wouldn’t call it any “karate” chop ofc but he definitely moves his arm forcibly against hers to limit her movement as she tries to reach for the microphone.
She went for the mic and he used his left arm to block her by karate chopping down on her left arm.
She was doing her job, reaching for the mic to move it to the next person. He was the aggressor.
#micmetoo
It was clearly an assault. So glad the White House pulled Acosta’s press pass!!!
Thank you, President Trump!!!! More winning!!!!
Acosta blocked the woman trying to retrieve the mic . Once she got ahold of it she should have smacked him up aside the head with it .
So now it will be the media harassing Republicans, in restaurants, at gas stations, in press conferences, at the White House, telling them youre not welcome here anymore. And if they can get Republicans to lash out, they will file a lawsuit against them. Sounds just like the current democrat party.
Exactly. Calling it an "assault" is acting like the hysterical liberals. If the reporter were conservative and the intern a liberal, how many folks on here would still be calling it an "assault"?
But it is not acceptable behavior and he deserves to be banned.
