He Touched Her.
He’s Toast!
Technically, I think it would be categorized as Battery....worst than assault.
“It wasnt an assault.”
It most certainly was. He pushed down her arm, that is called assault. If your wife was shopping and reached for something and a Man physically stopped her with his arm, what would you call that?
She was doing her job trying to take the mic and pass it to the next reporter. He had his turn and was supposed to be civil and give it to her. She shouldn’t have to have a WWE wrestling bout for it. I’m glad the president banned him.
Indeed.
Bye bye, Felicia!
Anyone else remember that time the left wanted Corey Lewandowski charged with sexual assault for touching a female reporter as he stepped between her and DJT? I believe he did get battery charges filed, but they were dropped. Tried to post the gif, not sure it would work.
Wonder how Jim reported that?
SWEEET !!! Those snewzpresstitues need to learn a bunch of MANNERS. President Trump got done with the Statement part of the Meeting and then extended as a gesture of Goodwill asked if they wanted Him to stay and answer questions for them. They all went bonkers YES. President Trump said OK lets do this.
IIRC the nprsnewzette (who is Black) started right off with the are you a White Nationalist Crap.
President Trump straightened her out about Racist questions. He said clearly that Enough is Enough.
Id prefer President Trump at the next P-C make the stupidest ones stay outside no matter what the weather is and watch and listen on a Monitor. NO QUESTIONS from them.
Damn I LOVE OUR PRESIDENT TRUMP!!!!!
My Deaf Boxer is smarter than jimmythecnnpresstitute is.
Sorry, Jim. The whole world already saw you touch that intern on video.
The Bitch set me up defense swings into action.
In some states an “unwanted touch” can be considered simple or misdemeanor assault. I am pretty sure she didn’t want him touching her.
In a professional setting he was really way out of line. It would be one thing for someone to act like he did hogging the mike and not wanting to give up his turn at a bar on karaoke night; this setting requires a few more manners in my opinion.
The press has been needing lessons in manners since President Trump was elected.
Certainly it was unwanted physical contact to impede her doing her job.
That's exactly what it was. In some ways, I think it was almost like a reflex, but still clearly inappropriate for a reporter at a WH press conference.
Acosta's got no one to blame but himself.
Too bad She didnt WHACK him in the face with the microphone. That would have been a classic to watch.
If your wife was shopping and reached for something and a Man physically stopped her with his arm, what would you call that?
I'm a woman. If someone blocked me with his hand, I would consider that rude and probably would have an argument with the guy.
If that's what's considered "assault" today, I don't know what to say.
Agreed!
Agreed - the WH made the right call by suspending his press pass.
If the WH had let Acosta’s behavior slide, there would be nothing to stop any reporter from refusing to release the microphone.
I choose to believe the President set him up for this. The Donald is smarter than the press pool combined.
This action is long over due and most welcome in this house hold.
You're watching a different video than everyone else. His arm came down onto her arm, his wrist came down onto her arm. Period. To be fair to him, on full videos he even said "Sorry!" right after to her because he knew what he did to her. But he caused it, and his arm came down on her.
Watch the video carefully in slow motion. When she grabs the mic that he is holding, her arm is motionless - that means her arm was not moving upwards. THEN his left hand comes down karate-chop style. Repeating - his left arm CAME DOWN while her arm was MOTIONLESS! What is wrong with your vision?
There are other slo-mo vids on other threads that ABSOLUTELY show his wrist coming down on hers to block her taking the mic
