No, Rush!

The RINOpublicans announced their retirements to CAUSE a Blue Wave! I was hearing of this mass exodus long before talk of any blue wave: Block Trump for two years, then hand the House to the Demokkkrats to finish the job.

They wanted to lose the House - and did. Mission accomplished. The good little globalists now go to their K Street reward in the private sector. Paul Ryan leads the way - the only real leading he did as Speaker.

Limbaugh’s insistence upon giving the treacherous UniParty collaborators the excuse of cowardice infuriates me.

The only things they may be scared of is being outed as sexual harassers named in the hush fund, or secretly complicit participants in the slow-motion coup.

Those are very good points.

Trump represents the breaking of the “professional politician paradigm”. Where one has to make ones entire adult working life doing professional politics. (Thats why he must be destroyed!)The original intention of the Founding Fathers was yes you could be in politics but it was not your profession. Ideally you made money for your family & yourself and later you had time to give back to the nation your time & expertise (That you gained in life! - All aspects of life!).

Nowadays you have people getting out of even high school running for office. Its not cute when some 20 year old wins a seat in the state legislature! Its pathetic! Pathetic that the voters are that stupid and so careless with their franchise! The “professional politician” knows very little about anything! You say well so-n-so went to law school! My answer - So what ! Very few of them spend any time practicing law! We’ve let conflict of interest hysteria exclude valuable human resources in governing our nation. Personally I think lawyers should be barred from serving in the legislature ! Why? Conflict of interest - a legislature’s business is to make laws. Why do you think laws are so complicated now & you need a lawyer? Could it be that legislatures full of lawyers made it so ? In Virginia a couple of years we had a group of GOP lawyer legislature try to get some highway laws passed where no matter what the highway infraction you would need a lawyer in traffic court! Talk about make work job security! They got caught ! There was a lot of PR about it & they backed down. Still people who came from normal professional or working class walks of life would never have tried something like that!

Lost in all of this was the 40 to 45 Republican congressional retirements. Forty sitting Republicans retired. I started asking Republicans why. And what I was told, “Well, you know, many of them are committee chairmen and they’re term limited out and they don’t want to hang around going back as regular members.” Well, maybe.

But I don’t think that was solely it. I think that the Republican Party in the House of Representatives had a whole bunch of people in there that didn’t like Trump. And I think they had a whole lot of people who thought that Trump was gonna bring massive landslide defeat to the party and they wanted to get out before it happened. They didn’t want to be a part of it; so they announced their resignations. And one of the things I think that convinced these Republicans that there was gonna be this massive Trump wipeout was all this incessant chatter about the blue wave brought on by the media.

I doubt it. They wanted to cash in. Their value as lobbyists would be substantially less if the Republicans lost the House.

Rush is mostly right.

The losses were much less than expected. It is not good, but it is not the end of the world.

A lot of the deadwood got cut. Yes, we lost some players, but between the retirements and the losses, I am glad to see most of them go.

Spin it however you want. We lost the House.
We have 2 years of b’s investigations non stop and pointless bills designed to evoke score points with the leftist fascists.
AND we, I, have to hear the likes of Nazi pelousey and the devastingly stupid Maxine waters.
Not to mention the new crop of stupid d umbles like Cortez.
It is bad.
And I an sickened and disgusted.
Not only can you not fix stupid, the stupid is spreading.

No one denies that we lost the House. We just have to see that we get it back in 2020

...

That is a bingo. Rush is naive, and wants to be right to a fault...he isn’t with malice, and this is reminiscent of how for so long he thought George Bush was a great guy.

I will come up with a better “WAVE” title. Given the significance and amount of women’s votes, and the number of newly elected women both nationally and locally, it should be:

A PINK WAVE election!!

“My opinion is they all had dirt on them - recent, current, way back in their past, whatever - and they were told that the guns are out to nuke Trump, and if they didn’t go along they’d be outed.

Who gives up a workless job like a congress member - all those benefits, retirement, cachet, etc.? Who voluntarily leaves that?

They were told to step down and like good little toadies they did.”

By far the most cogent comment yet.

Yep. Post 9/11 created a republican surge. It was right after that election the Democrats started their rapid leftward move.

TLDR

But I’ll note that incumbent RINO types who did run also ended up losing. Curbelo, Leonard Lance.

Partner, redistricting is another manner in which good Republican congressman like "Brat" from Virginia gets beaten all because of redistricting. Who would have ever thought that Virginia was going to the DemonRat party in representation.

Partner, I was not aware of the redistricting in Virginia and you are so correct in that the "Billionaires" poured out a lot of their money to prop up the redistricting in these states and the DemonRat governors of those states.

We have to watch the DemonRat party at all of the states where a DemonRat has or will become the governor. Like right now it is Florida and Georgia of all places.

For all of Rush's cited reasons and all of yours, too, plus we can't forget or overlook that we lost more than a couple of excellent House veterans due to redistricting and the massive influx of $billionaire money into the Democrat coffers from Soros, Steyer and Bloomberg which totaled almost $300 Million! For instance, Dave Bratt in VA barely lost due to being vastly outspent and also to having his district redrawn. Likewise, Dana Rohrbacher in CA was vastly outspent and barely lost, ditto for Darryl Issa's open CA seat. The vicious environmental lawyer, Mike Levin, outspent Republican Diane Harkie by $5 million with the most adorable, squishy, feel-good, bi-partisan, TV ads I've ever seen! Had I not known better, I would have voted for him! The ads against her made her look like a crook from way back. He got his money from the trio of billionaires. In Pennsylvania, the Democrats got away with political murder when it came to redistricting. I think NC might have also suffered some similar problems.

Partner, the redistricting by the DemonRat party probably gave us the most losses. I really do not know why but I know there were record crowds to see President Trump at these special events even folks had to be turned away by the fire marshals.

Brat in Virginia and Rohrbacher in California bothered me quite a bit since these 2 individuals are very bright and they were beaten by a lot of money thrown into their district and Illegal Alien voting. We hope the Illegal Alien voting comes back to where we kick these folks out of our country for illegally voting.
