I was at a great election party at a bar in (liberal) Decatur, GA. It was all Trump supporters and sponsored by the radio station 106.7.
Standing room only, such a polite crowd! When guv DeSantis was crowned by CNN, I figured we had in the bag, and stopped watching the TV’s and started concentrating on the chicks.
And then I looked up from my latest pick-up line — what CD are you from? — only to see the Nancy Peblowski taking credit for taking the House!
WTF happened?
I just checked some sites, still several toss up seats out and close. Could be days if not weeks to recount or verify.
Lots of districts still counting. It’s so close in the House this isn’t totally over.
Senate means everything.
Think Judges (SC) & Cabinet.
DECLAS overrides all potential House blockades.
POTUS has ultimate authority.
Shift to Senate Judiciary (oversight) from House to now occur (stronger position and held in reserve for this scenario).
Lower chamber (House) used as 2-year starter.
Upper chamber (Senate) will be used next 2-year closer.

Hmmm NYT graphic went from 202 house seats for Dems to 203 then back to 202 very quickly. It feels like somethings up but don’t want to get hopes up.

Yes....Republicans need to do better in that respect. Especially with the continual influx of others. Which doesn’t look like will stop.
