RE: healthcare - I hear you. Ours went from $600 a month for 3 of us, to what we are now paying. Could not afford Obamacare, so went with a faith based program but wasn’t really happy with that, moved to a private policy outside of O’care, which is costing us $14,500 a year. With a $5K hospital deductible. Self employed.

Two nights ago I sent Wendy $35 on top of what I have already sent her. I hope she wins.

I wouldn’t call it “anti-democratic”, I would call it republican.

You are right in the second paragraph and the main reason the Dems held high hopes of flipping the House is because so many GOP congresspeople chose to retire after Trump’s election, losing the advantage of incumbency in 40-odd seats. Many of those were, in my estimation, either a rejection of Trump or fear that Trump would “wreck things” that they didn’t want to be associated. Personally I think several of them would like to take that decision back.

Well I intend to thoroughly enjoy voting this Tuesday and tune out all the chatter and predictions going on until the count begins then. That's plenty enough anxiety for me to watch the tally come in! LOOL

It’s also why Steyers has sunk over $2 million into Gillum’s campaign.

IMO, DeSantis has ran a weak campaign against Gillum. The latest polls have Gillum, the communist Bernie and Obama candidate, ahead by anywhere from 1 to 3 points, within the margin of error so I believe the race is currently a toss-up, if one believes the polling. Plus Florida has 4 non party aligned candidates who could siphon votes off from DeSantis or Gillum. This could be important if the election is close.

Today was the last day for early voting in Florida, so now it is up to Repubs., conservatives et al to go to the polls and vote for DeSantis/Nunez because the 2020-2030 decade depends on it.

Yes, I saw one that had about 20,000 calls to get 500 responses. Another poll I saw that had Dems up by 5% got 10% more women than men respondents. Polling is junk science.

he won more votes than any Republican ever

Really? I though Romeny got a million more votes in 2012. And if we're talking abo0ut electoral votes, Reagan got more than 500 in one of his elections.

“ I smell blood in the water with this sudden rush of step-down-expectations articles from the enemy’s fake news media. “

Kinda like Hillary canceling the fireworks the night before the election?

The Dems lack the excitement by trying hard not to show their fear this is going to be like 2016.

I wouldn’t call it “anti-democratic”

Well, the writers of the Constitution knew that democracy was an evil from the pits of Hell and they designed institutions to prevent its ascendency, including the Electoral College, the Senate, choice of the President by State Legislatures, and lifetime tenure for the Supreme Court.

I certainly think they would regard being called "anti-democratic" as high praise.

If Republicans win I may be sitting on my front porch with a shotgun across my knees. The street I live on is not only diverse if you get my drift, but my house lies in a gerrymandered majority black district so extreme that the other side of the street is actually in a Republican represented district. Like living on the East German border.

No, because of his past sexual hyjinx, crude mannerisms, and arrogant demeanour. Mostly the sleeping around and abandoning his marriages though.

Why would I do that?

I don’t buy those stupid celebrity gossip magazines at the checkout counter which have documented Trump’s life for decades. High society, fashion, and all that crap doesn’t interest me.

Trump doesn’t have any skeletons in his closet, they are all lined up in the foyer as you come in the door.

Trump is well supported here, but it is his policies and his willingness to fight that brings that. His personality is a negative which he has overcome.
