CLEVELAND (AP) — Federal prosecutors say a Boy Scout leader recorded boys changing clothes before and after swimming at a YMCA, his home's bathroom and inside teepees at an Ohio scout reservation.
Thirty-nine-year-old Thomas Close, of Shelby in central Ohio's Richland County, was arrested and indicted Thursday on sexual exploitation of children and receiving and distributing child pornography charges.

Because there were not cameras producing evidence, people in the past were able to deny this stuff and since disbelieving was easier than investigating as to whether this stuff was real or not.
It's been in the schools, churches, sports programs, jobs for teens, and anyplace else there are kids forever.

As I understand it, the demand came from the parents of the girls, wanting a better program than the Girl Scouts offered. Eagle, God & Country, Order of the Arrow, that kind of program.
My granddaughter used to be on the Boy Scout professional staff. My brother is an adult BSA leader and echos her observation.

Eeew. I think you missed the point. There are plenty of great BSA scout troops out there. We have many where we live. What he did was give good boys a chance to do good, manly work. It challenged them, improved them, and encouraged them in their quest to become great men.
Don't turn up your nose at these boys just because the national board of corporate suck-ups and back-scratchers sold out the organization. These boys are the future, and they're thriving where the troops are still good. Boys getting that real experience are the ones who will throw off the corporate bastards in a few years, or move on to create something better that will put the BSA brass out of business and behind bars where they belong.

Yes, I understand that, but since the BSA policy is to allow homosexuals to sodomize children from a lack of separating homosexuals from children, ANY support of the BSA is support of that policy.
No, I don’t think you approve of the homosexuals or their conduct, and I think you might desire to fight from within, but since the executive ownership of the BSA made the policy then there is no fighting it. It is best to simply let the BSA die and either go create or participate in a new organization of pick up the bones of the BSA once the homosexuals leave it.

I actually don't have a boy in the Scouts--CAP is enough. And I didn't get the impression the commenter who had the boys spread sod for him was involved in the Scouts, either. It's just a situation of what you do as an individual when good boys from a good troop are looking for projects. Do you turn them down, even though you know them and the local leaders to be good, just because the honchos thousands of miles away are corrupt? I don't think that would be Christian virtue. I grant that it is a complicated situation.
The BSA will wither away soon enough. It seems to me adolescence is brief, and if your local situation is different for the present, you act differently.

Several of the more conservative Protestant sects have already bailed. There are at least two alternatives that I am aware of at this time.
Catholics aren't doing anything for now, but it is inevitable that they will . . . it is only the homo loving Pope Frank and the clergy abuse scandal standing the the way now.
Two of the largest groups of Boy Scouts elsewhere in the world (India and Japan) aren't going along with the homo agenda. They are being left alone. For now.
