As I understand it, the demand came from the parents of the girls, wanting a better program than the Girl Scouts offered. Eagle, God & Country, Order of the Arrow, that kind of program.
My granddaughter used to be on the Boy Scout professional staff. My brother is an adult BSA leader and echos her observation.
Girl Scouts has been liberal feminist-led and lost for a long time.
Boy Scouts is now liberal-led and lost.
