Millennial males have been dropping out of the U.S. workforce faster than any other age and gender demographic. Half a million more men aged 25 to 34 would be working now if, like women and some other groups, their participation had returned to pre-crisis levels or better, Bureau of Labor statistics show. Reasons include increased rates of school and training, as well as disability and illness. Other factors feeding into the phenomenon:
*Fewer high-paying manufacturing and mining jobs *More young adults living at home *Better video games *Increased opioid use

45 years ago we called them “professional students”.
Maybe one reason that males - especially white ones - are demoralized and falling behind is that leftist culture has been telling them for some years now that there is something intrinsically wrong with both maleness and whiteness, something that can never be overcome by any action of theirs, and that they are basically tainted human beings who deserve the worst.
Society is getting what sociality demanded: Sensitive, crybaby, wimps.
But there weren’t so many of them and at least they were racking up multiple advanced degrees. These guys take massive debt and a decade not to even finish a third-rate undergrad degree.
You nailed it. I blame it all on feminism. It first began festering when TV started making fathers out as dolts and simpletons and the butt of all jokes while strong women held the family together. In 30 short years, that virulence has morphed in 2018 into “kill all white males.”
You combine that with leftist policies that wiped out manufacturing, mining, and logging and it is no wonder we have an epidemic of losers.

Feminism went overboard with the teachers praising girls and letting boys be the butt of criticism. Schools reward girls for sitting quietly while boys wish they could use some male energy on the playground or playing sports. (Leave it to Beaver: girl” “Yes, Miss Landers. I also did extra credit work” while Beaver cringes.)
For decades the only acceptable piñata patsy in TV commercials has been a white male. The smart woman chooses the best insurance, the best pizza, the best investment...and the dumb looking dolt made a fool of himself choosing the inferior one. ALL the time. Woman smart, man dumb.
That also leads to women not wanting to get married since males are so inferior and unnecessary to their exciting lives as independent bold professionals. Who needs a dopey man?
Amen. Feminism is a cancer, and I say this as a gun-toting, right-voting, right wing alpha female (who is as bossy and hard headed as heck who’s raising a little mini-me daughter, but my husband is still the BOSS of the family, and the US was better when men ran the show. Truth.)

I left out one thing about the “Loch Ness” show: the intellectual hero of the show is an internationally-renowned black (male) forensic psychologist.

Agreed. At that age, I was doing things normal people valued: Starting a family, starting a company, and spending time outdoors. Each of the three contributed to a sense that my life meant something. I was a good enough parent to pass those values on to my children, each of whom accepted those values.
Getting a high score on Candy Crush, League of Legends, or Fortnite cannot compare. It's easy to see why they withdraw into Mommy's basement and turn to drugs, if they cannot find something to do with their lives that matters. It's even to see why they buy into the fantasy that they are superheroes saving the world by recycling, or reducing their "carbon footprint", or marching for "trans rights" to share a restroom or changing room with little girls.
Yeah, the poor victim men. The women have beat them down and they can't stand up for themselves.
Maybe the millennial men are just a dying breed and more men are being real men.
No one can become a victim unless they agree to it.
Millennial men are a product of an educational system which caters to the elite and leaves everyone else behind. Thus, we have a relatively small cadre of computer nerds making big bucks, while many of the others wander around wearing shorts all year, with their hats on backwards, and living at home or doing meth or opioids in some rooming house filled with similar types, or in a homeless camp. The females don’t see them as possible life partners, so they are increasingly drawn to other women.
