Who knew that Hispanics could be Republicans? Well, everyone, except for a few reporters at MSNBC. With less than a week before the 2018 elections, the news organization sent a crew down to the Texas 7th congressional district, which Democrats think they can flip this year. The district has a high Latino population, but as Mariana Atencio found out, that doesnt mean a guaranteed Democratic win. In fact, MSNBC found Hispanic voters who support Republicans and legal immigration. Its quite simple: if you want to come here, you have to go through the proper channels. Its not racist. Its not illogical. Its common sense. Oh, and it happens to be the law.
The network interviewed Rob Gutierrez, who straight up said that when he sees images of the illegal alien horde heading for the border, it makes him want to vote Republican. Hispanic voters have been quite mellow this cycle, despite the overhyped media rhetoric concerning President Trumps immigration agenda, most of which is not extreme at all. A great many are unenthused to vote, and those who are seem to be willing to pull the lever for the GOP.
With a voter turnout of 47.6%, Hispanics have the lowest voter turnout in the United States. We can turn this number around! #BeAVoter pic.twitter.com/cQRooiqwBu USHCC (@USHCC) October 24, 2018
The pattern of low Hispanic voter turnout can be blamed in part on the Democratic Partys decadeslong failure to adequately invest in Latino outreach and infrastructure. https://t.co/elGjtVxhuC The Intercept (@theintercept) October 28, 2018
The Hispanic population in the US has been growing steadily in recent years, but Hispanic voter turnout has remained low. Pollsters and political analysts say that might change this year https://t.co/ekcY2QDICM CBS47 (@CBS47) October 31, 2018
One of the most anti-illegal immigrant Hispanics in American history was Cesar Chavez. He knew firsthand how the hordes of illegals depressed wages for his low skilled American Farm Workers labor union workers and organized them to police the border as vigilantes. It was Chavez that coined the now unspeakable epithet of “wetback” and pushed for strong border defenses and zero tolerance of illegal migration. If American Hispanics actually voted in their self interest rather than as dependable supporters of the far left and cheap labor business interests they would be backing Trump and the border wall.
Bush League Republicans have been lying to US for decades that we had to pander to hispanics with amnesty.
Citizens of every hue want the laws and borders enforced.
Mariannas father was a good friend of mine....he was so proud of her - but he sure wasnt a liberal......she & I have emailed when his health declined last year. He passed in Dec. I think.
So Ike got “Operation Wetback” from Chavez?
A lot of Mexicans, especially native Mexicans, are very when it comes to the people South of THEIR border. They are strongly of the opinion that Hondurans, Guatamalans and such are lower forms of life and there is lots of racial animosity towards them
Add to this the fact that the new waves of Central American illegals compete directly for Jobs and wages with the established Mexican illegals who have been in the US for many years and the only people who are welcoming the new wave of Central American illegals are the Democrat activists who are trying to flood America with illegal aliens
Oops
Guess what?

Worth repeating.
“In 1973, the United Farm Workers set up a “wet line” along the United States-Mexico border to prevent Mexican immigrants from entering the United States illegally and potentially undermining the UFW’s unionization efforts”
Chavez got his moment in the sun in the 0’s. The term wetback was around LONG before that.
Truman started OPERATION WETBACK when he was still in office & Eisenhower continued it after he was elected in 1952. They managed to get 11 million illegals OUT of the USA.

Mark my words - we’re going to win this, Senate AND House.
Rat Fake News Mediahow condescending and racist of them to assume all Hispanics are knee-jerk Rats, begging for entitlements from the government.
In order to get those shots, Ms. Attencio blocked a handicapped parking spot and despite being asked multiple times she refused to move to allow a handicapped US Air Force veteran in a power chair to get in to vote. No kidding - https://www.khou.com/video/news/local/khou-11-top-headlines-at-10-pm-nov-1-2018/285-8300717
She made a non-apology ‘apology’ but her employer didn’t.
I think it was about 2 million, not 11.

Uh, no.
It predates his birth.
She’s a brain-washed liberal. Educated in the US, as was her father, but the school he and I went to was not liberal - then. When she was in school, they had already been taken over by communists.
Hey, Mariana<
Check out this video. My favorite after-election analysis. Some very nice charts.
PROOF: Blacks, women, Hispanics voted for racist, sexist Trump

I agree, but I also believe it will not be a Red Wave but a RED TSUNAMI that we could witness extreme violence from the left.
