This is stupid.

Romney appears to be conflating two things that don’t go together.

First, labeling the “fake news” media as an enemy (like Trump has done) is fine - that’s “freedom of speech”, too.

Second, he relates some anecdote about some yokel wanting to “shut down” these outlets, something Trump has never done, said, or even thought about. So - I guess - he looks like a hero for doing something that everyone agrees with, and nobody wants to do the opposite anyway.
