Jewish Americans are flocking to firearms training in the wake of the October 27 attack on Tree of Life Synagogue that killed 11 people.
For example, Haaretz reports that the Cherev Gidon Israeli Tactical Defense Academy near Scranton, Pennsylvania, is witnessing the highest demand for training it has ever seen.
Yonatan Stern, a veteran officer of the Israel Defense Forces and director of the academy, reminds his Scranton, Pennsylvania, classes: The fact is, were at war. We want Jews everywhere to be armed.
Stern indicates that hundreds of people interested in firearms training contacted him during the three days after the Pittsburgh attack. He observed that all but three or four of them were Jewish.
And while there are some members of the Jewish community pushing back against the idea of using guns to keep synagogues safe, Stern notes, To wait for law enforcement to arrive simply is not the answer.
Zev Guttman was afraid of guns until Saturdays attack, but now he chooses to be armed. He said, Everybody has to find a way to react; this is my way.
Brooklyn borough president Eric L. Abrams reacted to the Pittsburgh attack by making clear he will be armed when he goes to a synagogue. He said, Its not popular, but its right. He added, We have to live in the real universe that were in.

Good. God Bless America.
IMHO this is a good thing. When people start taking firearm ownership seriously there is no way they can remain libtarded.
They should have been there before the shootings just to make sure that the bad guys will always find out the hard way what “never again” really means.
A little Krav Maga too couldn’t hurt.
I think the interesting thing is that many of these people will continue to vote Democrat at the same time.
It is classic textbook cognitive dissonance.
Most of the people pushing back on the idea that I have seen in the media are non-Jews criticizing Trump's comments about how there may have been a different outcome if the shooter were met with force.

Well said.
GOOD! THANK GOD FOR THE SECOND AMENDMENT!!
hmmmmm ..how’s this going to work for those insane liberal Jewish voters who keep choosing those who would take away their right to bear arms?
After the holocaust, I would think that every Jew on the planet would feel the need to have a firearm available “just in case”. I’ve always been amazed that so many Jews are Liberals who support an all-powerful government and strict gun control for the peasants. It just makes no sense.
But I guess some are finally “getting it”.
Good. God Bless America.
Yeh, about time. And, its about time Jews end their pathological devotion to the Democrat party as well....
They contribute some 50% of the DNC funding.
Two groups of people who should be the most leery of government are blacks and jews....yet both continue to overwhelming believe government is there to help them.
Ditto!
Even in Israel the laws for private gun ownership are as oppressive as in western Europe. Strange, with Arabs in their midst you would think Israelis would want to be packing.
Those bikini girls slinging M-4’s on Haifa beach are active duty soldiers, not civilians.
But yeah, “never again” takes added meaning when one possesses the means of personal defense.
It integrates well with weapons training.
Absolutely the right thing to do.
I predict the Dems will soon carve out some “vunlerable minority” exception to their otherwise rabid anti Second Amendment platform ...
AKA Jew Jitsu. :-)
It might change a few minds.
