Politics in 2018 is a nightmarish hellscape that is largely devoid of heroes, so let us take a brief moment to revel in the astonishing stupidity of one of its third-tier villains: Jacob Wohl, who you may recognize as the greasy 20-year-old doofus who pops up first in the replies below every other Donald Trump tweet. This delightful tale began on Monday, when the disgraced teenaged hedge fund genius posted a tantalizing hint about a major forthcoming news story:
Special counsel Robert Mueller, the evil mastermind behind the insidious left-wing plot to take down Wohl's beloved president, has been hiding a dark past from the American people all along.
Alas, Wohl's prediction was a fervent bit of wishcasting, because it sure seems—seems—that he and his crew of MAGA-adjacent dorks cooked up the entire thing themselves. According to NBC News, several reporters were told in recent weeks that a mysterious individual had offered various women $20,000 to claim that Mueller, while an attorney in private practice in the mid-1970s, and engaged in some form of sexual misconduct. Independently of one another, those reporters determined that literally none of the relevant aspects of the story checked out, and so they passed along the tip to the special counsel's office, which in turn referred it to the FBI for investigation.

Given all the other hoaxes which all have the same object in mind (make the Dems look good), I have to wonder if there was a double hoax involved here. Surely if the concept of a woman being paid off to make false charges is now in play, then so can be the concept of being paid off to make false charges for the purpose of having those charges easily exposed and producing an election-relevant shift of opinion.
I’m tired of being hoaxed. I expect another big hoax within 72 hours and I am tired of that one too, whatever it turns out to be.
I don’t follow the Presidents tweets. I don’t care what he says in them. I don’t care if folks get upset over them. I don’t follow the MSM reaction to his tweets.

But we all enjoyed the reverse Alinsky approach. Even if this is or is not a true charge - it was nice to see the same false and deceptive tactics they use being used against them.

So, the reporters may have actually done some checking on that story as opposed to what they did with Kavanaugh's accuser.

Conservatives will do well to remember we play the game by a different set of rules.
It is counter-productive to dwell on the unfairness of it.
It is far better to focus on winning. As dwelling on the unfairness distracts us from the goal.
In the main they’re OK but sometimes they are spectacularly wrong as in this case.
It’s a good rule in general before reacting too strongly to anything do some due diligence and double checking.
Yes it was more interesting for the political bind it put the Left in, because their doctrine bids them to believe the woman even though conservatives agree it’s a hoax.
Most on those threads never got past the headline before they posted with joy.
But there were a few sober minds. that’s refreshing.

If you actually read the charge the woman levels against Mueller she is VERY specific. If Mueller was actually in The St. Regis that night this could be a real problem. She claims she told a friend immediately. If that friend corroborates we have a LOT more here than FOrd ever had.
This just points out the hypocrisy and double standards of media and liberals.
