President Donald Trumps support among black Americans has never been higher, according to a new poll released Monday.
The Rasmussen Reports daily tracking poll showed that 40 percent of black voters surveyed supported Trump, while Trumps overall rating showed that 50 percent of all voters approve of the job Trump is doing in Washington.
In August, Rasmussen Reports put Trumps popularity among black voters at 36 percent, according to USA Today. At that time, Trumps popularity among black voters had doubled since August 2017.
Black voters have identified with the Democratic Party for much of the past 50 years. In September, Trump suggested that loyalty has not been repaid and that black voters should support the administration that has produced record-low black unemployment.
So if African-American unemployment is now at the lowest number in history, median income the highest, and you then add all of the other things I have done, how do Democrats, who have done NOTHING for African-Americans but TALK, win the Black Vote? And it will only get better! Trump tweeted...

This is of course wonderful news if true. But support for Trump doesn’t necessarily mean support for the generic Republican. I think we have a long way to go on that score. But the work of people like Kanye West and Candace Owen, who genuinely want to improve conditions for blacks, offers hope.
It’ll be higher a week from now once the history of the 14th Amendment and the Anchor Baby Scam is “out there” for all to know and understand. And Trump WILL make it easy for everyone to understand. It was there to protect black children, and the people who’ve been abusing it for the last few decades are pushing black Americans aside and taking their jobs.
If this is true I don’t see how democrats can win, aside from cheating.
I like it, I hope it is true.
“But the work of people like Kanye West and Candace Owen”
Their work is just getting rolling...it’s going to be a very stressful week for the Democrats...Blexit will be flowing through the black communities right up to election day. And the message is not just to support President Trump, but to walk away from all Democrats. These two know how to connect with tens of millions of blacks. Those two maps of North Carolina are incredible.
If any Freepers had a chance to view some of the videos of the Young Black Leaders group you will see that this is a movement, these ambitious, passionate and excited Americans were wearing MAGA hats, lots of red suits on women and red ties on the men, and they were speaking on how they are tired of the democrats doing nothing for the black community but keeping them on the welfare rolls etc. It was inspiring and gave me goosebumps to see such heart and soul in what they were saying as the megaphone was passed around.
BTW...whatever success this movement has, I think a lot of credit should go to KellyAnne Conway and Jared Kushner...they got the ball rolling on outreach to the black community. I read somewhere that President Trump signed an EO requiring any foreign corporations opening new plants in the US must locate in certain low income business zones, to force the new jobs into those communities, including targeted job training, addiction recovery, etc.
The only way this news gets out to those people quickly, and with believability, is by way of West, Owens and Blexit. This is what President Trump and his team has been doing while the Democrats have been screaming racist, tearing apart our streets, running scams and ruining peoples lives. They will write books about this when it’s over:)
He doesn’t even need them to vote Republican. If they don’t turn out for Democrats it’s just as devastating.
Okay, 40% or higher black approval has to prove that his national approval is closer to 55-60%
His Yuge crowds surely indicate that it is much higher than the Fake News Networks are claiming.
Rose,
People vote with their wallet. I would also think that ANY Negro voter that supported Trump would keep it to themselves. Even more so than many whites choose to. The peer pressure for Negros to support the dems is much more than white folks.
Great news...
No wonder the left is having a meltdown!
Does approval turn into votes? Supposedly Bush got an approval as high as 56% from blacks at one point.
I agree - if this translates into votes....
How on earth can the Democrats have a ‘blue wave’ with that much loss of votes from the black population?
Of course, if they like Trump, will that translate down the ballot for other Republicans? Hopefully it will, as that seems to be the entire purpose of Trump’s campaign stops.
agree, 40 seems way to high, how does he go from 5% black approval to 40%... I’ would like to see supporting polls. This is one poll.
The left has lost/is losing;
Thinking gay people
Thinking black people
Thinking true liberals
Thinking hispanics
Basically anyone who’s sane
I appreciate your skepticism, but it’s worth nothing the NAACP did a study in the summer that ranked Trump’s approval among Blacks at 36%. That’s one I didn’t expect at all. I’ll see if I can find a link and post it.
As other have noted, even if Trump isn’t at 41% with AA, I don’t think it’s a stretch to imagine he will help GOP over the finish line to keep House and Senate
What puzzles me is, if President Trumps approval amongst blacks is indeed 40%, his overall approval should be way above 50%, no?
Freeper LS (Larry Scweikart on Twitter) has been tracking turnout by Party Affiliation so far (absentee and early voting).
This is arguably a better indicator than polling, which has been an inaccurate predictor.
One thing we won’t know until after the votes are counted (and forensic analysis applied), is how many registered Democrats actually vote for Republicans.
How many people Walk Away? How many Blacks?
It seems that rationale/indications of this kind of cross-voting (or even possibly a re-alignment) only seems to be a one-way thing lately: Dem-to Rep.
I don’t see any way to measure this ahead of time, except polling. But after the election, it will be important to measure how much occurred.
