Georgias registered voters became more racially diverse this year, continuing a long-term demographic trend among the electorate.
White voters are still the majority in Georgia, but their collective influence is slowly waning each election year, according to voter registration data from the Georgia Secretary of States Office. Meanwhile, racial minorities are gradually gaining ground.
The latest voting numbers released this week by the state present an updated look at how it has changed in recent years, in terms of race, gender and age. The figures were compiled after the Oct. 9 voter registration deadline and analyzed by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The voter registration figures tell a story thats been unfolding for years: Georgias voting population is undergoing a consistent demographic shift that could influence which candidates and political parties win elections.
In the race for governor, about 70 percent of white voters support Republican Brian Kemp, and 92 percent of black voters back Democrat Stacey Abrams, according to an AJC poll conducted this month. Election Day is Nov. 6.

Diverse = invaders
Diverse = includes more victim groups
From what I read of lot of blacks have moved back South from the Northern areas they ancestors moved to during he Great Migration. Unfortunately, they bring the same ideology that forced them south to look for opportunity.
Paying Alabama Blacks to come vote in GA to get the first Black Communist women in office? Southern Blacks sell their votes to the highest bidder.
” and 92 percent of black voters back Democrat Stacey Abrams”
Wait, they vote on race?
Isn’t that....Wacist?
I suspect they will find that many of those diverse voters are off the plantation now, but didn't admit it to pollsters.
Georgia’s voters become more diverse ahead of this year’s election...
No.
“Diverse” isn’t voting NINETY TWO percent for one party.
There is NO DIVERSITY among blacks.
They think as ONE, at least in Georgia, it seems.
Kinda wish whites did the same in Georgia. 92 percent of whites voting R would seal the deal.
The ONLY reason blacks support Abrams is because she is black. Color is everything.
The lefties and their fake news “media” toads act like this shifting “demographics” is some kind of naturally occurring event. This is one of the major downsides of legalizing drugs. The morons haven’t figured out that these new “shifting demographics” are a result of the commie far left importing freeloading, losers and sh*thole criminals into America as illegal aliens riding in their invasion convoys.
Why are so many “suspecting” changes that have not shown up in Any election results yet?
Can we got ONE under the belt where blacks didn’t vote OVERWHELMINGLY D before we “suspect”
Cause I “suspect” there’s not a whole lotta changing going on in the black community, at least in the way they vote.
Trump is not an R. Not really.
He’s a populist, as well as a conservative.
Let’s not get too excited about that pouring over into the local and state levels until it actually does.
"Georgia Gubernatorial Candidate Stacey Abrams Blue Wave Comprised Of Documented and UNDOCUMENTED"
Wow, doesn’t that figure? If Abrams wins, then the whole state of Georgia will see white flight.
As 90-95% of blacks vote democrat, as do 70% of Latinos and Asians, the more racial diversity we have, the more elections become simply a racial head count, as opposed to a contest of ideas.
Diversity, the downfall of empires.
No this is the AJC and their Democrat Party buddies whistling past the graveyard.
Did you see this? The WalkAway hashtag and Turning Point USA/Candace Owens may be opening minds.
Black Approval Rating of President Trump Hits Record High (40% Approval)
“If Abrams wins, then the whole state of Georgia will see white flight.”
As long as the Georgia state legislature remains Republican, not much will change. The governor in Georgia can use the pocket veto under some circumstances to thwart the will of the legislature, which the present outgoing governor occasionally used, but does not have sweeping powers to order Medicaid expansion, for example, or make other sweeping changes.
Thing is, Trump doesn’t even come across to ME as an R.
I guess we shall see if it spills into the congressional races.
I DONT EVEN like Rs!! But of course I vote for them.
A disenfranchised group voting for Trump I can believe.
That same group going R, I will believe when we hold the house in two weeks.
I WANT IT TO SPILL OVER.
I already voted absentee. Now I just pray and type useless words by the thousands on FR that will mean nothing to anybody by 4pm EST :)
I could have sworn I read this article in 2014, only the names of the Dems were Nunn and Jason Carter.
