The error you are making is in perceiving the set of 1st Amendment protected rights as separate things.

    Not an error; the right to practice one's religion differs from the right to
  1. political speech
  2. the press
  3. peaceably assemble
  4. petition the Government for a redress of grievances.


All are subject to reasonable limits and boundaries.

I am looking for someone that launches a service without any outside support other than an ISP.

I have also questioned why doesn’t someone setup a conservative dns service where you never have to worry about left wingers jacking your domain name.

Got it. Sadly, we’re going to have to regulate some of these things as public utilities. Just as an electric company cannot refuse to serve conservatives, along with actual dregs of society (antifa(g), alt-White, BLM, etc.), a host or very large tech company should not be allowed to block free speech from these demographics.

The enumerated rights of the First together describe a more general, and fundamental right: the right to form and express opinion.

All of them describe the major facets of this one thing, and it is that one thing that they together describe.

That which describes a more general, and fundamental right is the preamble to the Constitution.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

There is a reason an amendment is called an amendment. The Bill of Rights' amendments were not resolved until 1789. The Constitution was signed in 1787.

Acceptance of the Constitution was conditional on acceptance of the Bill of Rights, these were demanded by then-sovereign states. Learn your history.

The Constitution was written, and ratified before the Amendments to the Constitution were written and ratified. So the Constitution, whose sense was best expressed by its preamble came before the amendments to the Constitution. The ninth state ratified the Constitution June 21, 1788. Only 10 of the 12 amendments proposed (Bill of Rights) were ratified on December 15, 1791.



Each of the original thirteen states in the United States was invited to ratify the Constitution created in Philadelphia in 1787. The Constitution specified that nine ratifications would be sufficient to consider the Constitution accepted.

Some states ratified quickly, others had to hold several conventions to accept the Constitution — though all eventually did. This page lists the votes of each state's conventions.

September 17, 1787: The Constitutional Convention adjourns.

September 28, 1787: The Congress agrees to send the Constitution to the states for debate and ratification.

December 7, 1787: Delaware ratifies. Vote: 30 for, 0 against.

December 12, 1787: Pennsylvania ratifies. Vote: 46 for, 23 against.

December 18, 1787: New Jersey ratifies. Vote: 38 for, 0 against.

January 2, 1788: Georgia ratifies. Vote: 26 for, 0 against.

January 9, 1788: Connecticut ratifies. Vote: 128 for, 40 against.

February 6, 1788: Massachusetts ratifies. Vote: 187 for, 168 against.

March 24, 1788: Rhode Island popular referendum rejects. Vote: 237 for, 2708 against.

April 28, 1788: Maryland ratifies. Vote: 63 for, 11 against.

May 23, 1788: South Carolina ratifies. Vote: 149 for, 73 against.

July 26, 1788: New York ratifies. Vote: 30 for, 27 against.

August 2, 1788: North Carolina convention adjourns without ratifying by a vote of 185 in favor of adjournment, 84 opposed.

Problem with that, is the minute you identify yourself as a libertarian here on FR you immediately start getting called names like "losertarian" and are belittled as being the next best thing to a leftist. I've been here a while. I've been seeing it consistently for years.

lots of hosting services also serve as registrars ... there’s tons of these in foreign countries but don’t whether any would meet your criteria ...

same thing has occurred to me as well ... not just DNS registration, but full hosting with it ...

That was the implication of my question about Thiel. PayPal sure is acting like the lefty controlled social media companies, which seems to indicate that Thiel is no longer running things at PayPal.

Zeronet and Bitmitigste would allow distributed computing and a block chain ledge would be your payment processor (actually, it would render a payment processor like PayPal obsolete). The trick is getting tech startups to build on open source and abandon proprietary when possible

PayPal is anti-gun for sure. They would not process payments for gun buys during the gun buy boom while obozo was in office. I doubt that has changed.

I've been on Gab for a while and have never seen any pornography. Then again, I never searched for it. Yet you insinuate that anybody on Gab is there for the pornography?

Using your logic, some left winger could post a pornographic image here on Free Republic and get it shut down. Sure, our moderators here will be sure to take it down pretty quickly. But not before the image is forever archived at "archive.is" and pointed to as an "example" of what Free Republic is all about.

The Leftists will chortle to themselves "Well, guess the Freepers are going to have to go get their pornography elsewhere, har, har, har".
