NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Attorneys for death row inmate Edmund Zagorski filed yet another suit in federal court Friday in what is likely among one of his final options to stop his upcoming death penalty, set to be carried out in the electric chair on Thursday.
In this latest lawsuit, Zagorskis attorney Kelley Henry claims the states method of execution by electrocution is cruel and unusual punishment and utterly barbaric, despite Zagorski selecting the electric chair over lethal injection a choice that Henry has described as the lesser of two evils. Zagorskis attorney claims both forms of execution are unconstitutional, as was the choice Zagorski had to make in selecting how he wants to die, from between two choices that Zagorskis attorney says are cruel and unusual.

That's a shame. There are other ways...
Got BBQ?
Have we no firing squads? We have a two million person military, I think we can spare eight of those for a day. I’ll pay for the ammunition, the cigarette and the blindfold.
So is murder. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. A murderer does not get to decide how he is killed.
So let’s do a firing squad. There’s got to be some solution to his alleged legal objection.
Take the needle like a man.
This guy was convicted and sentenced in 1984...34 YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Taxpayers of Tennessee have had to PAY to keep this POS in prison for 34 years...
Shoot the SOB tomorrow and end this charade...
In my opinion, anyone convicted of murder and sentenced to death should have 60 days for appeal, then executed...
One bullet in the head is cheaper, faster, and better.
Slow evacuation of air from an autoclave.
Gradual displacement of air with nitrogen in a sealed room.
Firing squad.
One-way helicopter tour.
Guillotine.
Hmmmm.......
If he has signed anything about donating his body to science, why wait.
Ship him to the space station, hook up monitors, toss him out the airlock to see what REALLY happens.
Just a thought......
Murderers should be executed by the same method as they killed their victim.
The concept of "due process" has been abused for a long time, and it's long past time that the Supreme Court put an end to it.
I would go for a standard that execution happens within a year of conviction, and any appeals have to be done within that year.
Mr. Lawyer says the electric chair is barbaric?!? Not quite...”Drawn & Quartered” would be closer...
Idiot.
Bring back the guillotine.
Did his victims get to chose the time and manner of their death? He allowed them to suffer and die; but now demands mercy for himself.
Nothing but a childish coward
Just shoot or hang the scumbag and be done with it.
You are so right.
Guillotine,
My favorite.
