The man arrested by the authorities on Friday in connection with a series of bombs sent in the mail appears to be an outspoken supporter of President Trump, according to his posts on social media.
The man attended a rally by Mr. Trump in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Oct. 13, 2016; the presidents inauguration on Jan. 20, 2017; and then another rally at Orlando Melbourne International Airport on Feb. 18, 2017.
At the first rally, which took place weeks before Election Day, the suspect, Cesar Sayoc Jr., 56, of Aventura, Fla., recorded a selfie video.
At the same rally, Mr. Trump assailed the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, who had a suspicious package addressed to her Westchester County home in New York.
Mr. Sayoc, wearing a red Make America Great Again cap, attended Mr. Trumps inauguration, according to photos on what is believed to be one of his Twitter accounts.
At the second rally, in Melbourne, Fla., Mr. Sayoc can be seen in a photo holding a Welcome President Trump sign over his head.
At these rallies, Mr. Trump regularly took aim at the news media, deriding critical coverage of him as fake news.
At this particular rally, Mr. Trump said the media had become a big part of the problem. CNN, a frequent target of his criticism, had a suspicious package delivered to its New York City office on Wednesday. Another one was intercepted at a mail facility in Midtown Manhattan on Friday.
On social media, Mr. Sayoc repeatedly attacked Democrats and other prominent figures who have criticized Mr. Trump, and voiced his support for a Republican red wave in the midterm elections.
A van Mr. Sayoc had was adorned in decals and text that praised Mr. Trump and his achievements.

If the new york times says so, then its a false flag.
It will blow over in a few days.
A MULTIPLE FELON is not usually any kind of Republican.....hmmm
Before the NYT was a Nazi fish wrap, it was a deranged Clintoon superfag rag.
Democrat plant, if he was in the system cuz of crime, he was probly an informant, and as a known bomber would be easy for the fbi to manipulate. new van, tons of expensive explosives and postage from a bum and a criminal? this whole thing reeks of coverup.
That is exactly right. Something smells about this whole thing.
I voted for Trump with great reluctance, but the man has pleasantly surprised me.
I never trust superfans.
You see the narrative here, a fanboy is a nut unless you worship our god, then you is wise and going up to to heaven.
More FAKE news, unless you can read between the lines.
And you use the NY Slimes and the failing NRO to buttress your GOPe supposition. Gotcha.
There is nothing to blow over. There are thousands of nut bags, they are all around us. It is about as childish as anything I’ve ever seen to attempt to tie this guy to Trump.
Just shows how desperate the leftist/socialist are. I guess what surprises me most is that there are so many intelligent, successful, lucid individuals that have absolutely lost their noodles and buy into all this.
So many fall in with this group think and fail to reason.
He never seems sophisticated enough to do something like hes accused of. I wouldnt be surprised to find out that there were others others who helped prod or encouraged him to do this, or that the bombs in fact were so crudely made, they never could have worked. He didnt seem to have the intellectual capacity to plan a conspiracy like this in my opinion.
The FBI is a thoroughly politicized, unprofessional entity that has acted to overturn the results of a Presidential election. They usually work on behalf of liberal interests.
Sayoc is a homeless man whose lawyer has stated he has the mind of a 14-year-old.
I’m trying to inspire sympathy? No.
He is perfect for an FBI business proposal:
“We need a perp and while yes, we’ll have to use your photo, once you get your conviction, your ‘hard time’ will be nothing but Mai-Tai’s and sunsets on a secluded tropical beach where your only worries will be snorkeling and BBQ’s. Whaddya say...?”
It’s TEN DAYS before the election..!
Benghazi happened 3 weeks before a squeeker election and the TWA800 cover up was orchestrated in the run-up to Bill Clinton’s re-election.
FIGGER IT OUT.
The next step:
A mass-shooting several days before the election after which the FBI finds right-wing literature was left “by the perp”.
Or this was long planned out.
He could have been an operative who was playing the part for some use later to be held up by the liberals as a poster child of Trump supporters.
Thank you!
At least some FReepers have retained some sanity; unlike the jackasses falling all over themselves to distance themselves from a garden variety fruit loop who happened to like Trump.
Shortly after Trump was inaugurated, the NYTimes wrote a gushing review of a production of the Shakespeare play “Julius Caesar” where Caesar is portrayed as Trump.
Just days ago, the NYTimes featured an article fantasizing about the assassination of the President. That is an incitement to violence.
So they can get off their high horse.
It is rare to see any vehicle with a single Trump sticker that hasn’t been vandalized and that white service van looks brand spanking and new.
No way those stickers have been on that van for any length of time. And a true Trump supporter would have taken multiple stickers and placed them instead of having huge poster stickers printed.
No way he would not have been stopped for the stickers on the passenger window which would have most likely been against the law since they block his View.
Which, no doubt, has been long planned out and set up.
Then they can *prove* that he was a *long time* Trump supporter.
Because we all know that liberals/dems are pure as the new driven snow and would NEVER lie about something like this. Right?
Or this was long planned out
an fbi ‘time-bomber’
i said it first
he has the mind of a 14 year old, easy to use, easy to blame, easy to consign to a prison. sounds like a typical fbi informant.
I was much less skeptical of matters like this prior to the Trump coup, which is a very real thing.
