Border Patrol chief says Army can’t stop migrant invasion, only new laws and ‘a wall’ can
The National Sentinel ^ | 10/26/18 | USA Features

Build It: The head of the National Border Patrol Council approves of POTUS Donald Trump’s efforts to boost border security ahead of the expected arrival of thousands of mostly Central American migrants at the southwestern U.S. border in the coming weeks, but he doesn’t think deploying the military is the answer.

Rather, council president Brandon Judd said, what needs to happen is that Congress must pass new laws and provide funding for the president’s promised border wall.

“It’s going to help, but not for the reason that people think,” said Judd regarding the president’s instructions to the Pentagon to send 800 regular Army troops to assist with logistical support at the border.

The military will just stand there with their hands (figuratively) tied, providing the worst possible optics.

Congress doesn’t WANT to do anything. Who seriously thinks otherwise?

Correct.. The military won’t be allowed to do much of anything other than distribute food/water and paperwork..

the sad thing is, they will ALL be processed through the current broken system and kicked lose on the north side of the border and never seen from again. until they get arrested for a crime.

Is the stoppage attempt a police action or military action?

If the military are ordered to stop the invasion, they likely can. However, they cannot, if their hands are tied.

So, is this an invasion?

Do we have a border or not?

Can we sustain a border or not?

People essentially use their own children as HOSTAGES to try to force the BP/USA govt to act in a certain way, releasing them into the USA to never be heard from again (except for the worst criminals who get caught).

It is totally disgusting. Alas, the Democraps, RINOs, and MSM enable and reward this horrible behavior.

New laws and a wall? Nah. Line up the backhoes. Cut a trench 8 feet wide and 12 feet deep. Line the USA side with grave stones. Line up ICE and the Guard behind them. Those heading this way will get the message. Legal immigrants are welcomed. All else are fertilizer.

This yahoo has nothing to do with the role of the Border patrol which ultimately reports up to DHS

The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is a cabinet department of the United States federal government with responsibilities in public security, roughly comparable to the interior or home ministries of other countries. Its stated missions involve anti-terrorism, border security, immigration and customs, cyber security, and disaster prevention and management. It was created in response to the September 11 attacks and is the youngest U.S. cabinet department.

In fiscal year 2017, it was allocated a net discretionary budget of $40.6 billion. With more than 240,000 employees, DHS is the third largest Cabinet department, after the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. Homeland security policy is coordinated at the White House by the Homeland Security Council. Other agencies with significant homeland security responsibilities include the Departments of Health and Human Services, Justice, and Energy.

The former Secretary, John F. Kelly, was replaced by Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen on December 5, 2017.

Therefore he is ONLY the head of the Union and has absolutely no standing in saying this and in my opinion his comments and the stature given his bloviations are false.

If they are told they have their role to fill and it is not catch and release, then do your friggen job

One more thing, this union is subservient to the AFL-CIO of which they are members

I heard Michelle Malkin, usually a source of common sense, say this morning that the posse comitatus act prevents the use of the military from stopping the invasion.

I remember during the Los Angeles riots that the military was called up to quell the rioters. It succeeded.

The posse comitatus act is intended to stop the military from using force against the American people, not foreign invaders. It was implemented as a result of the military occupation of the South after the Civil War.

And the GOP has had control of both Houses the past two years.

Which leads us to perhaps the only solution available:

Trump ought to close the border until Congress can pass sensible immigration legislation he can accept.

That sort of alpha male leadership would please the voters beyond measure, so it ought to be done prior to the midterm elections.

This isn’t the first “Caravan”. Brandon Judd is the President of the National Border Patrol Union. Past experience in the Border Patrol has been to let the “Caravan” into the US and then process them. There is nothing so far from the Administration that anything different is going to happen with the current “Caravan”

“We need new laws” — That is the refuge of a weak, feckless, good-for-nothing, inept eunuch.

We don’t need any new stinking laws! Enforce the laws already on the books. Call out the armed forces to repel the marxist invaders at the border. POTUS has Constitutional authority to repel invaders; it is codified in the SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND.

What union bosses say usually can be ignored. Because they slant things to benefit their members. But sometimes those guys are the only people who have the freedom to tell the whole truth about a situation. This is one of those times.

We need to send the military into Mexico to stop them.

If Mexico can’t stop the illegals they can’t stop our Army.
