The left and the media act as if this ever happened. It got scant publicity the day he was arrested, and dropped out of the news cycle the next day. The filing of charges will be no different: a brief mention, then silence.
The ricin attack was an act of comparable magnitude to the bomb scare in that it involved several high-profile targets, and the ricin was actually a lethal toxin that could have killed the president and other top officials. These bombs, on the other hand, were apparently very amateurish and unlikely to detonate.
