Less than two weeks out from Election Day, more than 8 million people nationwide have voted early in the 2018 midterms.
The current nationwide total of early or absentee ballots counted 8,156,995 exceeds the 2016 total from two weeks before Election Day (Oct. 26, 2016) by over 200,000, according to data provided by TargetSmart and independently analyzed by the NBC News Data Analytics Lab.
Nationally (among all states with early voting activity so far), Republican-affiliated voters make up 44 percent of the early voting electorate and Democratic-affiliated voters make up 40 percent of the early voting electorate.
Republicans are outpacing Democrats nationally, a change compared to two weeks out from Election Day in 2016 when Democrats were outpacing Republicans.

This should hurt Nate Silver, but he’s stubborn that way.
Seriously, this is devastating for the Democrats. Republicans always show up in large numbers on Election Day. The whole reason for early voting was to get lazy Democrats to the polls so if the Republicans are leading even in early voting - goodbye blue wave.
There sending a message
“a change compared to two weeks out from Election Day in 2016 when Democrats were outpacing Republicans.”
And you saw how well that turned out for them!
He’ll still run with his D+8 polls until the bitter end.
I wonder if more Republicans are like me.
I voted early because I wanted to get my vote recorded
as soon as possible, anything could happen by November 6th.
Stroke, heart attack, car accident, falling tree, etc.
Plus it seems that once you’re dead you vote democrat...
Stunning they published this.
They are trying to prepare the Left in a gentle manner for what is about to happen to them.
Yep,
There are tens of millions of common sense patriots who stayed at home in 08 and 12 due to the GOP foisting Marxist losers on us.
Trump has brought these voters back with avengence
wow - that is a massive shift (Rs 38%->44%; Ds 45%->40%)
The pollsters were comparing the election to 2014 midterms, when this is a Presidential midterm turnout.
I vote early in every election. I’m at the polls at 7:00 am on Election Day.
I hope most of the early voters were Republicans.
Those who haven’t voted yet, VOTE!
Our future depends on it. It is critical.
VOTE!!!
And if you die, nothing stops the dems from changing you vote.
I crushed my ankle back in Feb, crippled now, can’t get around, so a neighbor took me to the polls, laid out in his back seats and a poll watcher/judge at the the polling place came out with a ballot so I could, no kidding, do curbside voting.
Democrats are going to get KO’d in the midterms!
And I think they know full well what’s coming!
Straight GOP, except I’m writing in Mickey Mouse for governor. Baker is far left of many democrats, is rumoured to be planning a switc h to dem anyway, and is 30 points ahead regardless.
When he is wrong, he will just spin it. The Left wing media will never call him out on his predictions since they always favor the Democrats.

In my book a vote is a vote. Im starting to see some of the more credible people acknowledging the data and turnout machine the republicans are refining, especially related to Trump and his rallies.
Great article here on how it works...
