Trump: 'I am bringing out the military' to stop border crossings
The Hill ^ | 10/25/18 | MEGYN KELLY

Posted on 10/25/2018 6:09:31 AM PDT by yesthatjallen

President Trump said in an early morning tweet on Thursday that he is "bringing out the military" to secure the border with Mexico, calling it a "National Emergency."

"Brandon Judd of the National Border Patrol Council is right when he says on @foxandfriends that the Democrat inspired laws make it tough for us to stop people at the Border," Trump tweeted. "MUST BE CHANDED, but I am bringing out the military for this National Emergency. They will be stopped!"

Trump tweeted last week that he would use the military to stop a caravan of migrants from Central America, which has reportedly swelled beyond 7,500, if Mexico did not stop it.

"I must, in the strongest of terms, ask Mexico to stop this onslaught - and if unable to do so I will call up the U.S. Military and CLOSE OUR SOUTHERN BORDER!" Trump tweeted.

He said Wednesday night at a rally in Wisconsin that the "military are ready" to help secure the border against the caravan, according to NBC News.

The Mexican ambassador to the U.S., Gerónimo Gutiérrez, said Monday that Mexico will continue to work to halt illegal immigration into its country and work with the Trump administration to block the caravan from passing into the U.S.

The Hill could not reach the Pentagon for immediate comment on whether or not it has received formal orders to enforce immigration law.

Last week, a spokesman for the Pentagon, Lt. Col. Jamie Davis, said the military had not be tasked to support those working to secure the border.

“Beyond the National Guard soldiers currently supporting the Department of Homeland Security on our southern border ... the Department of Defense has not been tasked to provide additional support,” Davis said in a statement.

The media is preparing 'reports' for the 'clash' that will occur.

"Honduran child killed by US TROOPS at Border."

If Mexico does not fully cooperate it means they are complicit.

The outcome of 2020 will be determined by this invasion attempt.

Despite the whining of leftist “constitutional experts”, the President does indeed have the authority to use the military to defend the border.

He is constitutionally *obligated* to do so.

There’s videos of 30 people riding on the back of a flat bed big rig. Shouldn’t be to hard to find and stop.

BTW, don’t they have traffic laws that say no passenger on commercial trucks? Especially the cargo area

My question is how long does it take to mobilize enough military assets to accomplish this? The president should start the mobilization NOW. I would think that starting the process of sealing the border would deter a large percentage of this horde from continuing their trek. Seeing thousands of troops heading to the border would certainly dominate the stooge media which is a big win for Republicans.

I hope he’s more committed to this than he was with his “immediate declassification” order of the FISA docs.

Yep, most likely. Are we building the border tent camps and temporary courthouses yet?

Keep the perps and the judges & their staff there (on site) until every last trespassing insurgent is processed. Provide a roof, beans & rice & water, basic medical, no media/internet, only pro-American literature/school.

***************

Mexico could stop it but they won’t unless they are squeezed financically. If they feel enough pain from the U.S. they will force these people back.

They don’t respect talk. They only respect action. They are no different than anyone else in that regard.

Why should she have apologized? It’s all so ridiculous. “They” may as well render us all mute so we don’t ever say anything that offends anyone. She doesn’t have “freedom of speech” rights?

“”After Kelly was slammed for defending blackface in Halloween costumes, NBC ran a repeat episode of “Megyn Kelly Today” on Thursday. The episode originally aired Aug. 31.

“Given the circumstances, ‘Megyn Kelly Today’ will be on tape the rest of the week,” NBC News said in a statement Thursday, per Variety.

The 47-year-old NBC News host apologized to colleagues via email on Tuesday and then on-air on Wednesday after “Today” co-anchors Al Roker and Craig Melvin criticized her ignorance.””

“...he is “bringing out the military” to secure the border with Mexico”

30 years too late, now theres 15 million illegals in our country and our own police are too cowardly to eject them, its a fing disgrace!

If they reach American soil, then there is a yuge legal/bureaucratic process to deport them. The odds are good they’ll NEVER go away.

If instead our military crosses into Mexico to stop them, this problem goes away.

People will say, “But that path gives the liberal US media a FIELD DAY of propoganda..!”

That’s wrong —if they’d crossed onto American soil, then that would be true ANYWAY.

It’s highly unusual for US troops in numbers to go on military maneuvers within Mexico, but it’s not without historical precident. We once occupied Mexico City itself.

Once we tell Mexico, “We can sent troops into Mexico to deal with this or we can CLOSE THE BORDER —which do you want..?”

The choice will be clear.

If Mexico can’t stop invaders from getting into the Rio Grande,

*********

Is this group headed towards Texas or the Western
border towards CA where the last group went? You
don’t have to wade the Rio Grande if you go West.
Just drive/ride across and keep on trucking.
