House Republicans postponed a closed-door interview with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein originally scheduled for Wednesday.

The midterms are less than two weeks away. If Rosenstein doesn’t appear before House Republicans before the midterms and the Democrats take the House, goodbye oversight.

The restricted access format was already a victory for Rosenstein. Now it looks like the GOPe is already packing up and preparing to fade away. Maybe Trump can drag the Republicans over the finish line, but he is not getting a lot of help from the leadership.

Trump has turned Rosenstein and is now protecting him.
There are too many ongoing investigations for Rosenstein to testify now.
Have patience. Soon, Rosenstein’s testimony will be more than, “I can’t talk about ongoing investigations”.
The investigations will be complete, and all will be revealed.
