There are many threads on the invasion force that is heading to our southern border.
In most of the threads some Freepers have offered military options, mostly tongue in cheek, and most not viable due to political fallout.
Assuming the US had agreement with the Mexican government and Mexican military, here's what the US military should do:
1. The plan starts with PSY OPS….Leaflet drops would be made on an hourly basis, from helicopters and C-130 aircraft. Many different leaflets would be dropped:
a. Some leaflets would paint a dire picture of the days ahead.
b. Some leaflets would describe the new asylum process which require asylum seekers to apply for asylum in Mexico…and that any asylum seeker that does not apply in Mexico would automatically be denied asylum in the US.
c. Some leaflets would offer free transportation back to their home.
d. Some leaflets would inform that all markets enroute have been provided security cameras. Anyone stealing food or committing any other crime will have their pictures sent to the US.
e. Some leaflets would inform that anyone committing a crime enroute will be denied asylum.
f. Some leaflets would inform that any migrant trying to enter for work will be immediately arrested and returned to their home country.
g. Some leaflets would inform that entry to the US will require identity documents, such as passport or birth certificate. Anyone without identity documents will be arrested and returned to the border between Mexico and Guatemala.
h. Leaflets will continue to drop during phase 2 and 3
i. Please feel free to add your recommendations for leaflets.
2. After a couple of days of leaflet drops, phase 2 will kick in with sleep deprivation.
a. F-22s will fly supersonic directly over the caravan. This can be done in a race track pattern so the caravan gets a sonic boom every 15 minutes for a 2 to 3 hour period.
b. Helicopters can then overfly the caravan with search lights and loud speakers.
c. Lather, rinse, repeat.
3. Phase 3 would involve making the invaders very uncomfortable physically. This phase would not occur until after the election. To accomplish this, the US forest service would provide water bombers to drop water over the caravan. I am confident the amount of water could be metered to prevent any injuries. The equivalent of a west Texas thunderstorm would do. This would be done several times at night between sonic booms. After a couple nights, the water could be mixed with harmless but foul smelling chemicals.

Of course I’m serious. I’m dead serious. Blowing up strategic bridges may stop this invasion and it could be bloodless. I’d also drop provisions behind the end of the line to entice them to turn around.
I’m with you. Take out their roads and bridges and no one gets hurt. Drop supplies behind them as added incentive to turn back.

A. We are not going to blow up bridges in Mexico.
B. No one is going to hurt any of these people.
C. They will be in the U.S. in a few days.
Those are simply facts. I don’t agree with it, but that’s the way it is. Like I said in my original post, we do not have the intestinal fortitude to do what’s necessary to stop them.
Rumor has it that if you are real nice to it a Bone can do MACH 1. They should try it at 50 feet over their heads. For those who don’t know what a B1 is, imagine a fighter plane the size of a B52....
I like the way you roll, but the reality is that Federal law, international law and the courts, including that of public opinion, would frown upon your proposal.

Let them frown...this is an invasion of the US we have the right to defend ourselves including lethal force. Largely peaceful but unpleasant methods are definitely acceptable.
That is not going to happen. Those people will walk across the border in a few days. We do not, as a country, have the intestinal fortitude to do what would be necessary to stop them. Did you see them tear down the fence at the Mexico southern border?

Saw a B1B at Jones Beach a couple of years back try to go vertical over head, he didn’t quite make it but wow!! It felt like a Saturn V launch, every grain of sand was bouncing with the shock waves of 120,000lbs of thrust.

I’m not arguing about what should be done to stop them. If I were in charge it would be whatever is necessary. I’m arguing what WILL (and will not) happen.
