There are many threads on the invasion force that is heading to our southern border.
In most of the threads some Freepers have offered military options, mostly tongue in cheek, and most not viable due to political fallout.
Assuming the US had agreement with the Mexican government and Mexican military, here's what the US military should do:
1. The plan starts with PSY OPS….Leaflet drops would be made on an hourly basis, from helicopters and C-130 aircraft. Many different leaflets would be dropped:
a. Some leaflets would paint a dire picture of the days ahead.
b. Some leaflets would describe the new asylum process which require asylum seekers to apply for asylum in Mexico…and that any asylum seeker that does not apply in Mexico would automatically be denied asylum in the US.
c. Some leaflets would offer free transportation back to their home.
d. Some leaflets would inform that all markets enroute have been provided security cameras. Anyone stealing food or committing any other crime will have their pictures sent to the US.
e. Some leaflets would inform that anyone committing a crime enroute will be denied asylum.
f. Some leaflets would inform that any migrant trying to enter for work will be immediately arrested and returned to their home country.
g. Some leaflets would inform that entry to the US will require identity documents, such as passport or birth certificate. Anyone without identity documents will be arrested and returned to the border between Mexico and Guatemala.
h. Leaflets will continue to drop during phase 2 and 3
i. Please feel free to add your recommendations for leaflets.
2. After a couple of days of leaflet drops, phase 2 will kick in with sleep deprivation.
a. F-22s will fly supersonic directly over the caravan. This can be done in a race track pattern so the caravan gets a sonic boom every 15 minutes for a 2 to 3 hour period.
b. Helicopters can then overfly the caravan with search lights and loud speakers.
c. Lather, rinse, repeat.
3. Phase 3 would involve making the invaders very uncomfortable physically. This phase would not occur until after the election. To accomplish this, the US forest service would provide water bombers to drop water over the caravan. I am confident the amount of water could be metered to prevent any injuries. The equivalent of a west Texas thunderstorm would do. This would be done several times at night between sonic booms. After a couple nights, the water could be mixed with harmless but foul smelling chemicals.

Not necessary. They will stand down or be destroyed.
The President has 90 days to win a war or get us so entrenched that Congress has no choice but to continue to fight. It's a lot of leeway.
Agree with everything else you said--waiting until they cross the border is insane, because the moment they touch land they will be subject to court orders (and domestic civil disobedience). The fight needs to be taken to them on the open road, and it has to be kid gloves.
Haven't heard this, but it sounds tactical and temporary. Perhaps weather related. The caravaners can get to the border in a couple of days on trucks. This ain't over.
If they had seen the light, the migrants would be on their way back south headed for camps or out of Mexico.
I am sure the US had nothing to do with this but brining ashore a CAT3+ hurricane is always welcome
You’re making a pretty big assumption that they can read, or even speak Spanish.
I don’t think I’m in the leaflet camp. I’m leaning more toward truck mounted water cannons. Let Mexico clean up those injured —they facilitated this mess.
exactly! This can be done quickly. All adults should be kept there until processed, a few at a time. Most of them will be sent home.
Create a neutral zone in N Mexico. We had to do it because of armed incursions by cartels and smugglers. Funnel all invaders into the neutral. Sheriff Joe Arpaio is sent in to create a tent city.
Leaflets? You assume these people are literate? Doubtful.
Set off several large nuclear devices in the Arizona Desert - at ground level to maximize radioactive fallout. Then use large fans to blow the fallout southward over the invaders.

Well Laz, you beat me to it.
The device is truck mounted amd it might be a type of millemetric wave device. I seem to remember it was effective out to 600 yards or so. Just the device you need for crowd control. Seems it makes the target feel like they are on fire. Does no harm but the beam is unbearable.
Now if i were in command i would turn it on the media after the invaders had been repulsed. Just as a demo, know what i mean. Heh, heh, heh.

Boy, would that put a damper on their parade (invasion). I think Israel has been known to use this.
How about herding all the invaders through a tunnel into the US. Then have the other end of the tunnel curve back into Mexico.
Good Ideas. Since Mexico could not stop them, get their permission to fly over and drop all the leaflets.
