New York Post ^ | OCTOBER 20, 2018 | David M. Drucker

Control of the House of Representatives is teetering on a razor’s edge, poised to fall to the Democrats on Nov. 6, but hardly a lost cause for the Republicans.

Amid a blue tide of cash, grass-roots activism and voter enthusiasm, the Democrats only have to win 23 seats to erase the GOP’s 42-seat majority. Every single House seat in the country is facing an election.

to take the house? I think the writer meant, to keep the house. We already have it, you can’t take something that is already ours.

Amid a blue tide of cash, grass-roots activism and voter enthusiasm, the Democrats

Does any really think the average democrat of the 1990's, today has the enthusiasm to vote for the current crop of democrat lunatics? I don't. Aside from "normal" people that happen to be democrats leaving the party or won't vote for the mob, the focus on the enthusiasm of the fringe left nutjobs results in the current polls being simply wrong.

One factor to consider is the number of voters, “moderate” and conservative, that weren’t sure of Trump in 2016 and held back. Now he’s got a record, and to those groups it’s got to look pretty good.

Typical coward afraid to go against the echo chamber. Repubs very likely will add to their majority.

“Repubs very likely will add to their majority.”

I’m sitting here with a big smile on my face just contemplating the multiple live head explosions on the news sets as they report those results. May your prognostication be correct and the source of many liberal tears...

Given how well the country is doing right now, no communist loving democrat should receive a single vote.

However our government schools filled with teachers who belong to communist run teacher’s unions have corrupted the brains of way too many people.

This is a cancer we are funding via pro-big-government public schools.

Our public schools, filled with communist run Teacher’s Unions have been fulfilling every plank in the Communist Manifesto’s platform since the middle 1950s.

The are only 3 clear choices.
1) Home school if you have the time and ability.

2) Private school if you have the financial resources

3) As a last resort a non-unionized Charter School.

Any other solution which leaves a child in government schools filled with communist controlled Teacher’s Unions is child abuse and child neglect.

I disagree that it is an excellent article. The poll numbers for Trump are wrong, the national numbers showing Democrat advantage is completely meaningless when it comes to House races and Republican voters are at least as motivated as Democrat voters. That puts any other analysis they have into question as well.

I know.

Under the rules of Free Republic, I must use the title of the article verbatim. If I don't, the article is likely to be posted many times.

However, thanks to all for your posts...shows a great interest in the results of the election.

I think the criticisms were directed at the author of the article and not at you. His grammar leaves a lot to be desired.

Thanks for taking time to read the article and provide your analysis (which I agree with).

Perhaps I should have simply recommended to read the article as it contains race-by-race analysis. "Excellent article" certainly implies accuracy.
