Another name for the neo-Marxism of increasing popularity in the United States is "cultural Marxism. This theory says the driving force behind the socialist revolution is not the proletariatbut the intellectuals. While Marxism has largely disappeared from the workers' movement, Marxist theory flourishes today in cultural institutions, in the academic world, and in the mass media.
This cultural Marxism goes back to Antonio Gramsci (1891-1937) and the Frankfurt School. The theorists of Marxism recognized that the proletariat would not play the expected historical role as a revolutionary subject. Therefore, for the revolution to happen, the movement had to depend on the cultural leaders to destroy the existing, mainly Christian, culture and morality and then drive the disoriented masses to Communism as their new creed. The goal of this movement is to establish a world government in which the Marxist intellectuals have the final say. In this sense, the cultural Marxists are the continuation of what started with the Russian revolution.

As I’m watching a Jordan Peterson video something he just said jumped out.
“You are not moral if you are just harmless”

Before he started, I asked him to read Rush's books: The Way Things Ought To Be (1992) and See, I Told You So (1993).
During his university years I worried if peer pressure was swaying him to the darkside.
Not sure if it had or not, at graduation I asked him if reading the two books had been helpful.
His reply: they had been invaluable because whenever he listened to his classmates (and professors) either spouting or getting suckered by leftist crap, he knew the basic facts and could see how they were being duped.
When I asked if he had debated politics with his classmates, he said because many had been conned so much he didn't want to waste his time. He felt the 'lucky ones' would eventually see the light while many would live their lives in ignorant darkness.
I'm convinced his reading Rush's books has had a huge positive impact on his life.
One of my greatest wishes is to thank Rush in person for what he has done for my son. Such will never happen, but I'm deeply grateful my son increasingly realizes how critically important Rush has been to him not only in personal terms of his understanding the world but also in broader terms of a growing percentage of the citizenry understanding the insidious threats we face.
Nice.
I grew up with parents that always told me that “Half of what you hear is not true and even less of what you read”
I tried to impart that on my daughter at an early age.
When she was just four of five years old she got caught up on a TV ad/jingle “Dawn gets grease out of the way”. It drove me mad.
I encouraged her to consider who was saying that, why are they saying it and what do they think of you.
I was in college 1972 - 1976 and the Marxism was prevalent in all history, philosophy, anthropology, and sociology classes, heck even in literature classes.
PC dogma is all about fear.
Intimidation.
Group think and the destruction of the individual.
It’s easier not to be wise
And measure these things by your brains
I sank into Eden with you
Alone in the church by and by
I’ll read to you here, save your eyes
You’ll need them, your boat is at sea
Your anchor is up, you’ve been swept away
And the greatest of teachers won’t hesitate
To leave you there, by yourself, chained to fate

It’s the incoherence and uncertainty that is being positioned as a “Right”.
The left is fighting for the right to be stupid.
“Therefore, for the revolution to happen, the movement had to depend on the cultural leaders to destroy the existing, mainly Christian, culture and morality and then drive the disoriented masses to Communism as their new creed.”
Keywords: cultural leaders.
Walk into any high-class lefty bar and pick a fight. They will scatter like mice because they value their worthless hides and have zero martial skills. Now that we know the commie’s Achilles heels, who among you patriots feel thirsty?
