The Mexican government has sent 500 extra federal police to its border with Guatemala in anticipation of their arrival, say documents obtained by NBC News
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is tracking the caravan as the Hondurans make their way north toward the U.S. border. Meanwhile, the State Department is trying to stave off that possibility by compelling the Mexican government to stop them at its border with Guatemala.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will travel to Mexico to meet with his counterparts on Friday, and plans to stop the caravan will be a "prominent" topic of discussion, a senior State Department official told reporters on Wednesday.
"I am certain that there will be conversations in Mexico about how we can work together on this issue," the official said about the caravan. "We are certainly looking for concrete results and for solutions that work for both countries."

Seems to me the Democrats are paying off foreign interests to influence American elections. Why isn’t the media whining about it.
We need decisive action here Mr. President.

I agree-—immigration control was the main reason he got my vote.

It's happened before. Remember the Minutemen back during the Bush II years? Thousands of patriots dropped what they were doing and went to defend our country from invasion.
Naturally, Bush quietly sicced his federales on them, and ran most of them off, so as to keep the floodgates open.
I can see the Minutemen being reborn, and under this president, they might actually get some support. At the very least, Trump would not mobilize the federal police against them.

Thanks Wind....I had to leave for awhile as this immigration stuff gets me truly upset... more than anything else. It’s been running our country for decades with our representatives sitting on their hands to stop and change this trajectory.
I tend to agree that Trump would support citizens showing up to defend our borders should the courts and our congressional leaders try to stop any of his efforts otherwise.
Sometimes you have to do the right thing, and I hope that he will, then you fight in the courts etc. after the fact. I’d like to see our troops on the border and be given the right to shoot. That would stop a lot of them.
Democrats always ‘flood’ whatever they can't get their way....all the time. Be it protests, people, information, false reporting......they push ad dump it out there all to ‘cover’ their insidious criminal activity.
Human garbage!
Amen!
No doubt dumping their kids at the border guarantees the kids will be babysat by the US at the camps until the parents can cross at a later time.
A handful of shootings would stop the invasion, cold.
One way or another, we have to make the penalties for illegal immigration more painful than the rewards.
This is basic human psychology 101.
It's not even necessary to kill anyone. Take away ALL forms of public assistance, and ruthlessly expel ALL illegals from the workforce, and the invasion will become an exodus back to their home countries.
Start meting out HARSH prison sentences for being caught in the country without proper legal documentation, and this scourge will come to a screeching halt.
That's what it's really going to take to reverse the reconquista. Anyone promoting ANY other solution, is blowing smoke up your skirt.
Another photo of that group shows mostly fighting-age men. Also note the lack of any substantial backpacks or luggage. They are probably getting promised thousands of dollars cash upon entry into the USA. Why else would they pack hardly anything? I’m guessing that are being housed and fed along the route as well, and/or will be getting on a bus after the photo-op.
