If Senator Elizabeth Warren thought that releasing her DNA test results showing Native American ancestry would neutralize a Republican line of attack, she was wrong. The test part of her strategic preparations for a likely presidential campaign did not placate President Trump, who has mocked Ms. Warren as Pocahontas and once promised $1 million to a charity of her choice if a DNA test substantiated her claims of Cherokee and Delaware heritage. And her announcement of the results angered many Native Americans, including the Cherokee Nation, the largest of the countrys three federally recognized Cherokee tribes.

I believe Elizabeth Warren just as much as I believe ObamaCare saved me $2500/yr. and BClinton did NOT have sex with Monica.
Do you mean the same natives who vote for her year after year after year and will vote for her again during her next election?
JoMa
So many are against Warren now.
Similar to this joke:
The Lone Ranger and Tonto were surrounded in a bloody battle as dozens of armed Apaches closed in on them on horseback. Finally the Lone Ranger said: “This is it, Tonto. We aren’t going to survive against the Indians.”
Tonto said: “What do you mean “we”, white man?”
This reminds me of the 2016 Primary. He repeatedly knocked out his most viable opponent, and then moved on to the next one.
Pure greed. They are terrified that all these people doing DNA are going to try to get tribal membership. They almost certainly won’t, but the lawsuits would be costly and no fun.
The democrats seem to hate the pale faces. Especially pale face men.
Her test did not show Delaware or Cherokee heritage, it only compared her blood to a mix of Mexican, Central American and South American blood and THAT connection was only 1/64-1/1024 likelihood. And she said SHE WAS NATIVE AMERICAN, not that she had Native American Heritage. The NYT LIES! But we already knew that. I suspect most of us whose families have lived in this country for several generations, have that much Mexican, Central American and South American DNA.
The Dawes Rolls and the 1930 Census are the only way to be in the tribes, unless they adopt you.
It all about casino money for the tribes being split between more people.
Everyone misunderstood her. She said she went to Delaware and bought a Cherokee. Shes in a car club of Jeep owners called the Cherokee Tribe. Whatever possessed you people into thinking a woman who is whiter than Snow White claimed to be an American Indian? do you think shes really that stupid? I mean she went to Hsrvard. She knows that you dont end a sentence with a preposition.
I am enjoying this debacle “Roll on Beto”

Tanker accident in 3..2..1..
This is the NYT going all in on Kamala Harris for 2020.
This is a story about nothing. There is no right percentage of Cherokee blood, anywhere from zero to 100% is about the same from my perspective. I get the concern about her false claims and entitlement, but as an abstract philosophical question, the percentage of Cherokee blood in any given person is a non-issue and should be seen as such.
The line that struck me:
“By Wednesday, the post had been deleted from the Facebook page of the tribes newspaper, but Ashleigh Stephens, a spokeswoman for Principal Chief Sneed, said he stood by it.”
What did they say to them to make them remove it?
As I joked on another thread, I want to "identify" as Sioux (even though one of my forebears was an Army teamster at Wounded Knee).
Well hey, she cheated a genuine Native American out of a place at the table.
