"If this misguided resolution is adopted, the United States will leave no doubt about where we stand," he added in remarks to the General Assembly. "When the Palestinians speak as chair of the G77 in the General Assembly, we will remind our fellow member states that the United States does not recognize that there is a Palestinian state and that no such state has been admitted as a UN member state."
Ambassador Nikki Haley affirmed in a statement that “the Palestinians are not a UN member state or any state at all" and vowed "the United States will continually point that out in our remarks at UN events led by the Palestinians."

That’s why i said she was one of the best UN “ambassadors” we ever had. The simple requirement is keep telling other countries we are not a piggy bank, they are ingrates and Palestine is a make-believe fantasy land. She did all 3.
Why did she submit her resignation letter ONE DAY after the (alleged) death of Khashoggi?
I don’t think she was anywhere near Istanbul. But, there is a palm tree (date palm?) and a crescent moon on the SC flag so there is that. LOL!
Because she didn’t wait until TWO days after to submit it, and probably didn’t have it ready to submit on the DAY he died.
I’m of the opinion that the crescent is actually a gorget used to protect the throat in battle. There’s a portrait of Washington in which he’s wearing one.
