Full title: Newt Gingrich: Republicans new rallying cry is Remember Kavanaugh and it may lead them to midterm victory
In the last few days I have been in Seattle, Dallas and Des Moines.
In airports, on airplanes, in hotels and in restaurants, I have been approached again and again by people who are glad Republicans stood up for now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh and took on the left. Not a single person has been hostile or negative in five days of travel (and Seattle is hardly lacking in liberals).
I do not remember any political event that has so galvanized Americans. More than 20 million people watched Kavanaughs tough, aggressive defense of his family and his life at his Senate confirmation hearing, and it clearly had a powerful impact.
The national conversation has clearly continued to build toward a condemnation of the left and a sense of defending decent people from smears and character assassination.
One startling moment came in Des Moines, when Irene Seuntjens of Ankeny, Iowa walked up to me at the Iowa History Center and announced: I am a 75-year-old lifetime Democrat who switched to Republican, and I am now volunteering for the GOP candidates.
Furthermore, members of Seuntjens whole family in Iowa, Georgia, Oregon and Wisconsin are also now Republicans. She told me: The viciousness against Kavanaugh was the last straw. The Democrats are no longer the party of John Kennedy that I belonged to when I was young.
Seuntjens testimonial was reinforced by Merle Miller of Iowa City (home of the University of Iowa and maybe the most liberal town in Iowa) who said: It comes down to jobs versus mobs.
The initial polls in state after state have shown a real shift toward the Republicans.

VOTE!
Remember the Alamo
Remember the Maine
Remember the Kavanaugh
Compelling because no one in the known universe would have any doubt which side Newt is on.
Keeping America Great....
Kavanaugh! Vote early and vote often! That is the Chicago way, oh vote for your dead relatives too! Twice! /s!
Just received our mail-in ballots today here in Washington State. We always drop them off at the courthouse instead of trusting our rural route carrier.
—Newt Gingrich
I hope we get ours today too, mail hasn’t come yet. We drop them off at City Hall.
This is certainly a good cry, but time marches on extremely fast in our culture. We need even newer and sharply minted swords in our scabbards. Yes, let’s remember Kavanaugh, but be quick and resilient, and ready to grab ahold of a newer battle cry in an instance. Time goes by so fast and the enemy is tricky, overloading people with constant assaults. Let’s be ready, and let’s not be too predictable.
“We always drop them off at the courthouse instead of trusting our rural route carrier.”
...I used to get “Human Events” in the mail. Conservative paper that usually featured a picture of Obama with a negative but real headline. I rarely got it though. I called HE and asked them to put it in an envelope. Got it every week after that.
Amen to that!
Support Free Republic, Folks!
Bump!
Newt is worthless as a predicter
Newt’s got it a little bit wrong. It isn’t “Remember Kavanaugh”. It’s “Jobs, not Mobs”. If it’s done correctly, suburban moms will vote ‘pub, and not because they like Kavanaugh.
Jobs or Mobs?
‘Remember The Kavanaugh!!’
Love it! My new Rallying Cry, LOL! :)
Yep...I love it too. :^)
