Professor calls for harassing Republicans at restaurants, sticking 'fingers in their salads'

The University of Mississippi has condemned a tweet by a faculty member that called on activists to abandon civility and harass Republican senators in public.

“Don’t just interrupt a Senator’s meal, y’all,” James Thomas, an assistant professor of sociology, tweeted from his @Insurgent_Prof account on Oct. 6, the day Justice Brett Kavanaugh was sworn into the Supreme Court.

“Put your whole damn fingers in their salads,” he wrote. “Take their apps and distribute them to the other diners. Bring boxes and take their food home with you on the way out. They don’t deserve your civility.”

“A recent social media post by a UM faculty member did not reflect the values articulated by the university, such as respect for the dignity of each individual and civility and fairness. While I passionately support free speech, I condemn statements that encourage acts of aggression. I urge all members of the Ole Miss community to demonstrate civility and respect for others and to honor the ideal of diversity of thought that is a foundational element of the academy,” Vitter’s post read.

The usual pasty-ass milquetoast response from the University. Pathetic.

So I guess the “professor” wouldn’t object if a mob followed him around and constantly harassed him. Because they don’t agree.

Love how he refers to himself as “slayer of nazis” on his twitter page. He look pretty young to have gone in on D Day with father in law.

“Funny how it never works out to be an engineer or a physicist.”

Not yet, anyway. But at the pace that the hard disciplines are now being infected, just wait a few years. My niece is a biomedical engineer raised in a very conservative home, but she is a nearly insane and rabid leftist. How do you possibly square being a sensible, reality-based technical professional with being an unhinged socialist kook? God only knows. It is a mystery.

Another Sociology Professor.

When I was in college, I took a sociology course, and thought it was interesting. A book we had to read for the course was “Walden II”. I found it interesting. Everything was so ordered and precise. That kind of structured...everything...was appealing to me. Planned townships...buildings...roads...all planned with each other and efficiency in mind...it was attractive in the orderliness of it.

But the professor was problematic. Not in his political views (which I don’t recall him speaking out on) but in his views about teaching.

He would get extremely depressed if the class wasn’t engaged, to the point it was uncomfortable to see. I went up to him after class one day and asked if he had ever given thought to getting into a different line of work, and he said...yes.

I forgot about the class, but as I got older, I began to think about that class, and that book, Walden II. And when I do, I feel pangs of anger. I have always been conservative, even as a little kid I rejoiced when Hubert Humphrey was defeated (Though I know that to many, Nixon was not great shakes as a conservative)

But there was something about the insidiousness of that course and that book (Walden II) that they presented all those clean, orderly things in a sterile environment where everyone was reasonable, nobody shirked work or got paid more or less than they “deserved”, all the kids were raised by a community effort to the exclusion of the biological parents...and everything just worked great!

I look at it now, and it makes me feel a little sick to realize I had completely missed what that whole book and the course with class projects about planned cities...

...and government...

...and enconomy.

I had missed what that whole course was really all about, I was so focused on planning things efficiently for my project “town” that I missed all the tyranny inherent in it.

So when I see these kinds of news articles, it never surprises me when it is Sociology professors.

In a sane world, yes. In our bizzarro world, they will promote him.

The first thing we need to do is get rid of Women and Gender Studies by making then not subject to college credits
