My problems isn’t with people saying they have Native American heritage. My problem is with basically white European descent people claiming they are Native American to get special privileges and consideration. That is Fraud, and that is what the Democrats and Warren have done. She has no more Native American, by DNA testing that the left is now claiming is ‘true’, than say Andrew Jackson.
True Native Americans have suffered enough, do not claim something your not to steal something else from them.

Boston Globe updated the report. She is 0.0009765625 Native American, but the sampling was against Central America data, not North American Native data. Math is hard.....

And, FWIW, these DNA tests are less about what than from where.
There is a community in this county but well away from urban areas that is recognized informally by everyone in as an Indian community. They are mostly farmers and there is a small restaurant that is a favorite place to stop for poker runs and a gas station. Visually the residents there are indistinguishable from the Euro-derived population in the rest of NW Florida. They are actually cultural Indians even if not on tribal rolls. Their antecedents include Indians and captives and those white men who lived with the Indians in the 1700s and early 1800s. Those Indians of purer blood and their black “slaves,” who mostly stayed with the Creeks and Cherokees because they preferred it and were not slaves quite as we think of slavery, got transported, as the English used to say, to Oklahoma. The ones who looked white and kept their mouths shut did not travel that Trail of Tears.
Probably about right, though if your first ancestors arrived in the Ellis Island Era or later (1890 or after), it is going to be a lot less. If they arrived in the colonial era, it will likely be a lot more.
Warren ought to take and share the results of a DNA test. Most of your ancestry is the result of three ingredients-- proximity, opportunity and value system.
IOW, if your anscestors lived closed to Indians, had opportunities to interact with them and were not particularly prejudiced against them, the chances for sexual relations and offspring was quite high. A bronze skinned Indian maiden was EXTREMELY attractive to a white frontiersman with little or no opportunity to meet unattached white ladies.
Even more so when you put runaway slaves in the same vicinity as remote tribes trying to maintain their population. People were not particularly obsessed with race until Liberals (and their historical equivalents such as Klansmen and slaveholders) came along and taught the behavior.
Running around saying your “Indian” is pure BS and insulting. I am shocked Native Indians do not squash Warren like a bug with this sham but suspect most Indians are rather liberal and happy with Casinos.

Were it a substitute sample it would likely have showed no more remote an ancestor than three generations previous.When you get more remote than a great grandparent the reaction gets more like “so?”
